He presented his gift, his voice low and magnetic. “Grandpa isn’t feeling well. He sent me to offer his wishes. If I’ve been improper, please forgive me.”

“Not at all, not at all. It’s an honor to have you here.”

Brandon accepted the gift with a courteous smile.

Belinda echoed the pleasantries with a smile.
