Viola had never felt so wronged. Tears sprang to her eyes, and she ran out, hand clapped over her mouth.

Noelle heard about Elmer’s amputation.

She’d seen his injuries and knew right away his legs were done for.

“You’re in a good mood. The Alliance 749’s Medical Department is holding a recruitment interview this afternoon. Want to come by? You can check out the new talent and pick up your herbs. If you don’t want to come, I can have someone send the herbs to you.”

Last time, Noelle made Sebastian some pills, and he was almost out. She planned to make more, so she’d asked Serena to get the ingredients.

Noelle thought for a moment. She did have something she needed to do. “Alright, I’ll stop by this afternoon.”

Sebastian came downstairs, and Noelle hurried to slip her phone into her sleeve before handing him her test. “Sebastian! I finished all my practice tests! Check them for me!”

Sebastian looked at her, took the papers, and flipped through them.

This time, she’d improved.

Still, it was a good start.
