It was Kevin.

He walked in wearing a perfectly tailored suit, his expression composed and steady.

In his hand was a sleek black document folder. He stepped into the living room without rushing.

“Ms. Kain.”

He gave her a respectful nod. His eyes briefly scanned her from head to toe, just long enough to make sure she was unharmed. Once he confirmed that, his shoulders eased a little.

“Sit down.”

“Ms. Wynn heard what happened and sent me over to check on you. She also asked me to give you an update on Genesis Media’s performance.

“This is the full financial report and business breakdown through last quarter.”

Kevin opened the folder and handed her the report. “The company’s been operational for less than four months and is already turning stable profit. Of the two small–budget web series we funded, one has wrapped. Its viewership and feedback exceeded our projections. The return on investment reached 300 percent. The second series is still airing, and the numbers continue to climb. We signed seven new faces. Three of them are already gaining attention. They’re starting to show potential in the commercial market. Revenue from last quarter grew 280 percent compared to the one before. We’re currently ranked among the top three fastest- growing media companies.”

The report was clean and detailed. The layout was clear. The data and charts were polished.

Kevin’s delivery was methodical and straight to the point. Not one word was wasted. It was exactly how he always handled things.

Noelle flipped through the pages, scanning fast. Her eyes flashed with approval. “You did a great job, Kevin. It’s ahead of schedule”

When she first handed Genesis Media to him, it was just to keep him occupied. She didn’t expect him to be this capable.

Kevin’s ears turned red before he even realized.

“Ambrose said Helen’s results are excellent. Getting into Kingstowne should be no problem. Once she’s done with the SATS, she’ll be able to come see you here.”

“Good.”

Kevin nodded. A faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

For the next two days, Noelle went to the hospital to help Mick with his leg treatment.
