As soon as Angus finished speaking, the side door of the hall opened. A group of police officers who had been waiting outside rushed straight toward Viola.
“No! Don’t arrest me! Mom! Save me! Mom! I’m your daughter!”
Viola screamed like she was being slaughtered. She fought hard, trying to grab onto Mary like she was her last hope.
Mary instinctively reached out, but when she saw Viola’s face–twisted with fear and looking nothing like Noelle–her hand froze in midair.
She watched as the police quickly put handcuffs on Viola. She watched the “daughter” she had loved and protected for so long get dragged away like a dead weight. Her mind went blank.
“Mom!”
Viola’s piercing scream faded as she was pulled out the door.
Only then did Angus turn back to the shocked guests and the media who were recording everything.
He stood up straight and pulled Noelle back to his side. One arm wrapped tightly around her shoulders. His eyes swept across the room, his voice firm and protective. “Sorry for the little interruption. Now, let me officially announce this again.”
He raised his voice so it echoed through the room. “From today on, Noelle is a member of the Guzmans. She is my biological granddaughter, the one we lost and finally found again. We will protect her and love her with everything we have. If anyone touches a single hair on her head, you are an enemy of our entire family!”
He paused, his cold gaze sweeping over a few people in the crowd. “As for those who were blind before, bullied her, or still have bad ideas about her–think carefully. No one touches my granddaughter.”
After his warning, the hall fell silent.
Everyone could see how much Angus adored Noelle. From now on, anyone who wanted to mess with her would have to think
twice.
Suddenly, the small side door opened again.
The Guzman Residence’s old butter hurried in, looking super excited. He quickly walked up to Angus and sand in a low but clea voice, “Mr. Angus, great news! Captain Clark from Alliance 749 is here with his team. They’re right outside. He says he’s here under orders to congratulate Ms. Noelle.”
“Alliance 7497!”
The words hit the room like a rock splashing into water. Everyone instantly got excited
Some people even wondered if they’d heard wrong.
Alliance 749!
That famous Alliance 749!
The largest civilian organization in the world! Why on earth were they here?

Angus frowned. The Guzmans had a strong influence in Kingstowne, but Alliance 749 was on another league. Still, he couldn’t just ignore them. He nodded. “Invite them in. Open the main doors.”
The butler immediately jogged off to make arrangements.
All eyes in the hall turned toward the main door.
Two rows of servers stepped forward and slowly pushed open the massive, heavy golden doors.
Light flooded in, revealing several tall figures.
At the front was Eiden.
He wore a sharp, dark green uniform. His badges gleamed, and the faint scar on his face made him look even more untouchable.
He walked in, eyes fixed forward.
Four aides followed, identically dressed, their expressions cold. Each of them carried a dark silver metal case. Their steps were perfectly in sync, silent but heavy with pressure.
As they entered, the hall went completely quiet.
Eiden stopped in front of the stage, three steps away from Angus and Noelle.
He gave Angus a formal military salute. His voice was calm and steady. “Mr. Angus, congratulations.”
Then, he turned to Noelle.
When his eyes landed on her, his tough expression softened. He looked at her with huge respect and even gave a slight bow. “Ms. Kain, congratulations on finally coming home. Everyone in the Alliance is relieved and happy.”
He made sure to emphasize the words “Everyone in the Alliance,” making it clear that the whole organization had her back.
Then, Eiden stepped aside and gave a signal.
The four aides stepped forward and opened the metal cases in their hands.
As the lids popped up, everyone saw the gifts on black velvet–and the whole room collectively gasped.
“Gasp!”
The boxes were filled with rare herbs, priceless treasures, and expensive gifts–so many it made people dizzy just looking at them.
This wasn’t just a normal congratulatory gift.
