Chapter 371 Ten Minutes

Theodore’s eyes were closed. His breathing was so faint it was barely noticeable. He couldn’t speak anymore. Only his eyelids seemed to flutter once.
The doctor immediately took out the prepared syringe and moved to inject it into Theodore’s IV line.
At that critical moment, Royce’s phone began ringing loudly in his pocket, its shrill sound cutting through the room.
Irritated, he tried to hang up, only to find that he couldn’t.
The phone screen acted as if it had been hacked. It automatically switched to the call screen, and Sebastian’s voice, cold and serie, came through the receiver.
“If you don’t want the Hernandezes wiped off the map in Kingstowne, tell your people to stop. Now.”
Royce’s pupils narrowed.
Before he could react, another phone rang. This one was his emergency line to senior executives. A trusted aide was on the other end, his voice full of panic and despair. “Mr. Hernandez! Something’s wrong! Our stock is being dumped and shorted like crazy, both overseas and domestically. The price is crashing. It’s almost triggering a halt!”
“How is that possible?” Royce’s grip on the phone tightened violently.
Their stock had always been stable. It had been fine before the market closed today. How could it suddenly be dumped and shorted like this?
How could this happen so fast?
Just then, Sebastian’s voice. Each word struck Royce straight in the chest.
“Royce Hernandez.”
Sebastian called him by his full name.
“If my Grandpa loses even a single hair, or dies one second early-
“I’ll make every last one of you Hernandezes go down with him.
“I promise, what you’ll suffer will be ten thousand times worse than bankruptcy.”
The voice was calm, but it carried a bone–chilling killing intent and absolute control.
“It’s Sebastian! It’s him!” Tarquin screamed.
He knew that voice too well. His body reacted before his mind, trembling uncontrollably.
Royce felt a chill shoot straight up from the soles of his feet to his scalp. It was actually Sebastian. How could he have accomplished so much in such a short time?
That level of power was terrifying.
Royce
forced himself to suppress his fear and sneered. “So this is all you’ve got? Attacking Hernandez Holdings? Fine. I’m about to

get the Menzie Group anyway. Losing Hernandez Holdings doesn’t matter.”

The words had barely left his mouth when the voice on the other line screamed again. “And there’s more! A ton of our past violations have been sent to the securities regulator and the media. No one knows who leaked them. Several of the company’s core accounts have been frozen temporarily! Mr. Hernandez, we’re… we’re finished!”
“What?!”
Royce’s hand shook violently this time, far worse than before.
Those violations had been buried carefully. How could they have been exposed?
Sebastian again?
If Royce had still been holding himself together earlier, he couldn’t anymore. If those materials went through official channels, it wouldn’t just be Hernandez Holdings collapsing. He’d be facing arrest and prison.
“I’m giving you ten minutes.”
Sebastian’s terrifyingly calm voice sounded again, emotionless, yet more suffocating than any threat.

“In ten minutes, I want all your people to put down their weapons, open every route, and make sure my Grandpa is brought to the gate safely, alive, and unharmed.
“Otherwise, the next batch of evidence sent to the authorities won’t be limited to corporate violations. It’ll include proof of how you embezzled funds at the Menzie Group, bribed officials, and even evidence tied to several deaths. That’s enough to put you and your inner circle away for life–or even get you executed.” Royce, choose.
“Do you want the Menzies, a prize you might not even be able to keep or do you want to save your own life and the last shred of dignity the Hernandezes have left?”
As Royce listened, his face drained of all color. His lips trembled, but not a single word came out.
He knew Sebastian wasn’t bluffing.
If Sebastian could crash Hernandez Holdings‘ stock and dig up those hidden violations so quickly, then he could definitely get his hands on the darker secrets Royce had buried.
Once those came out, Royce wouldn’t just lose the Menzies. He wouldn’t even keep his life.
“Dad, what do we do?” Tarquin wailed, completely terrified.
