As the number of people outside kept growing, Tarquin spoke in a panic. “I know Sebastian’s methods better than anyone. If Theodore dies, he won’t let us live!”

Royce clenched his teeth, still unwilling to give up. He had worked so hard to get this far. The Menzie Group was almost his–how could he just hand it over now?

“Bad news, Mr. Hernandez! Someone has submitted evidence of your tax evasion to the tax authority! They’ve already sent people to investigate!”

Just as Royce was struggling in desperation, his work phone rang again with his assistant’s frantic voice.

And you turn around and help an outsider deal with me? Just wait, Ethan! Do you realty think Sebastian will help you out of kindness? One day he’ll chew you up until there’s nothing left but bones!”

Suppressing his rage, Royce shouted inside, “Where’s Theodore? Hurry and bring Theodore out! Be careful!”

Chaos broke out. Moments later, the doctor came scrambling out, terror all over his face, his voice shaking uncontrollably. “Mr. Hernandez! Theodore, he’s not breathing! His heart has stopped!”
