Chapter 376 Trust Her
Hope flared in Noelle’s eyes, and the tension gripping her finally eased a little. “Serenal You couldn’t have come at a better tire. Quick, get Theodore onto the vehicle. Prepare for surgery!”
“Got it!”
The doctors all moved toward Theodore, ready to transfer him. But Ethan was still kneeling beside him, dazed and broken, clutching Theodore’s icy hand as he murmured over and over, “Grandpa… this is my fault…”
He thought it was all his fault. He thought he’d killed Theodore.
“Ethan, get up!” Noelle snapped, her voice sharp and absolute. “If you don’t want Theodore to really die, stop blocking the way. Move!”
Her shout jolted him. Ethan looked up in a daze, finally regaining a sliver of clarity. “He… he isn’t already-”
“With me here, he’s not dead yet,” Noelle said coldly. “But if you keep wasting time, then he really will be.”
Her words hit him like a thunderbolt. Ethan released Theodore’s hand at once and staggered backward.
Sebastian stepped forward. “Noey, are you confident?”
His jaw was clenched tight, his voice hoarse beyond recognition.
Noelle softened slightly. “Theodore’s condition is extremely critical. I can’t promise certainty, but I’ll do everything I can.”
Sebastian nodded heavily. “I trust you.”
The medical team moved quickly, carefully transferring Theodore onto the emergency bed inside the mobile surgical unit.
Noelle followed them in. The door slammed shut, sealing everything inside.
Royce, Olivia, Tarquin, and the others were dragged out of their wrecked vehicles like dead weight by Alliance 749 operatives and dumped in front of Sebastian and the rest.
They were scraped and filthy, utterly humiliated.
“749… Alliance 749? You … how could you-”
Royce stared at Serena and her people, his voice trembling. He couldn’t understand it. Alliance 749 was a world–famous, shadowy organization that operated on its own rules. Why would they get involved with the Menzies?
Serena gave a short, mocking laugh and looked down on them like insects. “Pretty bold, aren’t you? You even dared lay a hand on Alliance 749’s boss. Tired of living?”
“Bo… boss?”
Royce and the others felt as if lightning had struck them.
“Alliance 749’s boss? Who?”

“Who do you think?” Serena looked at them as if they were idiots. “Noelle is our treasure, my closest friend, and the matt respected boss of Alliance 749. Since Sebastian is her husband, that makes him one of us too.
“You went after her own Theodore. That takes nerve. He was just an old man in his seventies, and you didn’t even spare him. Utterly inhuman. You don’t deserve mercy.
Serena’s eyes narrowed, vicious light flashing within them.
She truly wanted to shoot them on the spot.
“Noelle?”
Royce’s voice nearly cracked.
Olivia, Tarquin, and the others looked as though they’d seen a ghost.
As much as they didn’t want to believe it, the person Serena was talking about could only be Noelle.
They stared in disbelief at the tightly sealed surgical vehicle.
Noelle, the woman they had never once taken seriously. Not only was she the Guzmans‘ second daughter, she was also the boss of Alliance 749.
Even Alina felt her heart jolt when she heard this. She turned stiffly to look at the closed door.
At the recognition banquet, Alliance 749 had sent congratulations, and everyone had assumed Noelle was just a minor member. But she was actually their leader.
Had the girl she once abandoned grown this powerful?
Royce and the others were completely undone. True despair set in as they finally understood what kind of monster they’d provoked.
Olivia broke down sobbing and lunged toward Ethan, who was being supported by Primo. “Ethan! Ethan! Save us! I’m your aunt! We’re your closest family in this world! You can’t just watch us die!”
Ethan slowly turned his head to look at them. There was no warmth in his eyes, only cold detachment and deep, burning hatred. He tried to speak, but between the drugs in his system and the emotional shock, no sound came out. He could only stare at them.
Primo and Duo, annoyed by the noise, stepped forward and roughly stuffed cloth into their mouths.
Sebastian walked over to Royce and crouched down in front of him. His dark eyes were like a bottomless, frozen abyss. His voice was terrifyingly calm. “You’d better pray that my Grandpa survives.”
