The convoy of luxury cars slowly started moving, driving away smoothly and leaving behind clouds of dust and a group of people still frozen in shock.

Inside the minibus, nobody spoke for a long moment.

It wasn’t until the convoy disappeared at the end of the road that Jeffrey finally let out a huge breath, patting his chest. “Oh my goodness… Dr. Kain… no, Ms. Kian’s background… that’s just terrifying!”

“No wonder her medical skills are so incredible…” someone murmured.

“She’s seriously keeping it low–key…”

The murmurs grew louder, and soon everyone’s conversation circled around Noelle and the Guzmans.

Maisy slumped in her seat, shivering, her whole body cold. The buzzing chatter around her felt like needles stabbing into her ears.

Inside the car, Noelle sat surrounded, with Sebastian and Angus on either side of her.

If the car had been any bigger, probably all three uncles and seven cousins would have squeezed in to sit with her, too.

Angus stared at Noelle, his eyes full of worry. “Noey, look at you! You’ve lost so much weight these past few days! Your mom’s been cooking for you at home, making all your favorite meals! You’re going to eat till you’re stuffed!”

Noelle couldn’t help smiling at the way Angus spoke so excitedly.

The drive back to the Guzman Residence would take about two hours.

Angus, being older, didn’t have much energy. After talking a bit, he leaned back in his seat with his eyes closed, dozing off after a
