Chapter 511 Into the Trap
Noelle’s brows pulled tighter. Her voice dropped. “When did she leave?”
Noelle hung up. Her fingers tightened around the phone.
Her knuckles turned white.
From the rearview mirror, Primo glanced at her. His voice was careful. “Mrs. Menzie, what happened?”
Noelle lifted her head and looked into the dark road ahead.
‘My mom has been kidnapped.”
Primo and Duo froze at the same time.

Just then, the car door opened again.
Jasper got in, carrying the chill of the night with him. He looked at Noelle, frowning. “Who was kidnapped?”
Voelle turned to him,
Her eyes were cold as ice.
‘Your lovely sister,” she said slowly, word by word, “kidnapped my mother.”
Jasper’s face changed instantly.
‘Viola?”
Noelle said nothing. She just stared at him.
Jasper pulled out his phone and called Viola.
t rang a few times, then the call was cut.
He called again. The phone had been switched off.
His face darkened.
‘Don’t worry,” he said, looking at Noelle. “I’ll handle this.”
Before he could finish, the roar of an engine came from a distance.
A modified SUV sped toward them and stopped sharply beside their car.
The window rolled down. Serena leaned out in a leather jacket. In the passenger seat, Lucas was staring at a tablet, his face tense.
“Noelle!” Serena waved. “Get in. We found
something.”
Noelle pushed the door open and got into Serena’s car.

Jasper tried to follow, but Serena shot him a sharp look.
“This is our business. Outsiders should stay out of it.”
Jasper’s face turned stiff, but he had nothing to say.

Inside Serena’s car, Lucas handed the tablet to Noelle.
Security footage filled the screen.
Time, place, people–everything was clear.
Mary’s car was parked by the road. Viola ran out from an alley and fell right in front of it.
Mary got out, checked on her, and helped her up. They spoke for a few moments.
Then Viola got into Mary’s car, and they drove off.
The next clip showed the car stopping at a quiet alley. They both got out. Mary followed Viola inside.
The last clip showed only Viola came out.
She stood at the entrance, looking down at the ground. Then, slowly, a smile curled on her lips.
Cold. Twisted.
She turned and disappeared into the alley.
Mary never came out again.
Serena clenched her jaw. She was so mad she almost cursed. “That woman asked for it. I’ll say it’straight–if she didn’t walk right into it, would this even happen?”
Lucas’s face was cold too. For once, he didn’t joke. “Noey, I know she’s your mom. But honestly, just leave it. She trusted Viola over you. Now she’s taken. Who’s to blame?”
They had bigger problems.
They still hadn’t found Sebastian.
Who had time for this?
And Mary had been impossible. She ignored Noelle and treated that fake daughter like her precious one. If it were them, they’d let
her suffer a bit and learn her lesson.
Noelle said nothing.
She kept staring at the figure disappearing into the alley on the screen. At the door Mary had walked through.
The car stayed quiet for a long time.
Then she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

When she opened them again, her gaze was calm..

“No matter what,” she said, “she’s my mother. I can’t just leave her.”
Viola had been pushed too far. She might really hurt Mary.
Serena opened her mouth, wanting to argue, but stopped herself.
Lucas looked at Noelle for a few seconds, then sighed.
“Fine. If you’re going, we’re going with you.”
He took the tablet and pulled up a map.

“This alley’s called Birch Street, the old part of town. It’s about to be torn down. There are lots of abandoned buildings, plenty of places to hide. We’ll have to search inside.”
Serena was already making calls. “I’ll have people lock down the whole area. Nothing gets out.”
Noelle stared at the map. Her eyes landed on that door.
“Have people watch the area,” she said. “Don’t alert her. I’ll go in alone.”
Serena frowned. “Alone? No way.”
“She wants me,” Noelle said, lifting her head. “Too many people will drive her over the edge.”
as frowned. “Noey! She’s crazy! You’re not even fully recovered. What if”
e Viola,” Noelle cut him off, her voice calm and steady, “can’t do anything to me.”
She paused, then looked at Serena. “Keep this quiet. Don’t let my family find out, especially my grandpa. His heart can’t take it.”
ena pressed her lips together, then nodded.
Noelle pushed the door open and stepped out.
The moment her feet touched the ground, Jasper walked up.
‘I’m coming with you,” he said, firm and final. “This mess started with me.”
