Noelle moved fast. She pulled open Sebastian’s clothes in one clean motion.

“Noelle! Stop messing around!” Lucas shouted anxiously. “Sebastian is already in terrible shape. Don’t make this worse!”

“We have an operating room in the manor, right?”

Noelle asked sharply.

Duo answered without thinking, “Y–Yes…”

“Then push Sebastian into the operating room. Now!” Noelle ordered. “He’s in critical condition. I have to open his chest and remove the bullet immediately!

“Lucas, you’re assisting me!”

Lucas had been calling Dr. Kain nonstop with no luck. Already irritated, he snapped, “Get up and stay out of this! You don’t know medicine. What are you directing everyone for?”

Primo and Duo quickly chimed in, “Mrs. Menzie, we know you’re worried about Mr. Menzie, but you don’t have medical training. You really shouldn’t-”

This was open–chest surgery; even Lucas didn’t dare say he could handle it with full confidence. And Noelle didn’t know medicine at all.

This wasn’t a game.

One wrong move and their boss would die.

“Mr. Lucas, still can’t reach Dr. Kain?” Primo asked urgently.

Lucas’s face was dark. Veins stood out on his forehead.

Still no answer. Not getting through. Not at all.

Noelle was burning with anxiety. Sebastian was badly hurt, and no one would listen to her.

“If you want him to live,” she growled in a low voice, “do exactly what I say.”

Primo and Duo were frantic too. “But Mrs. Menzie, you don’t know medicine. You-”

“Do what she says.”

Sebastian’s voice was hoarse and weak. That single sentence seemed to drain what little strength he had left. His eyes were half closed, as if even opening them took effort.

After saying that, he shut his eyes completely.

Lucas was still dialing Dr. Kain. Hearing Sebastian, he turned back in anger. “What do you mean, let her treat you? Is your life a joke? Noelle doesn’t know medicine; she-”

Before he could finish, Noelle raised three silver needles and drove them cleanly into Sebastian’s chest, right near his heart.

The movements were fast, steady, and exact. She sealed his vital pulse.

Lucas’s words caught in his throat.

Primo and Duo stared in shock, eyes wide.

Noelle looked at them coldly. “Now,” she said, “are you ready to listen to me?”

Inside the operating room, Noelle and Lucas were both dressed in green sterile gowns.

Noelle stood at the center table as the lead surgeon. Lucas worked beside her as her assistant.

“Scalpel,” Noelle said coldly.

Lucas handed it to her, his expression tense and conflicted. “The bullet is too close to the heart. Taking it out won’t be easy. You have to be extremely careful. You-”

He didn’t finish the sentence.

Slice!

The sharp sound of metal cutting through flesh echoed in the room.

In one clean motion, Noelle brought the scalpel down and opened Sebastian’s chest. Her movement was fast and precise. Almost in the same breath, she removed the bullet.

It all happened in a blink.

Lucas didn’t even see how she did it.

The bullet was already out.

“Beep–beep–beep-”

The machines suddenly screamed.

Blood poured out from the wound.

Massive bleeding.

Chest hemorrhage. His life hung by a thread.

Lucas’s face changed instantly. He was about to speak when Noelle lifted several thin silver needles and drove them down without hesitation.

She placed them exactly on key pressure points. Within seconds, the alarms stopped. The bleeding slowed, then stopped.

From start to finish, Noelle never blinked. For anyone else, this surgery would have been nearly impossible. For her, it looked almost effortless. Her mind stayed clear the entire time. Her hand holding the scalpel was steady beyond belief.
