From the moment Alina noticed that man had been taking money for years without ever actually helping Anthony, she’d already figured it out.
That was why she had been so calm about handing him the phone.
And the result turned out exactly as she expected.
She just hadn’t expected the scammer would be exposed and end up getting beaten at the same time as Anthony.
What a coincidence.
Anthony collapsed onto the floor, looking like his soul had been ripped out of him.
He kept muttering, “No way… no way…”
Eliana slumped down beside him, her face full of despair.
Sirens wailed outside, growing closer and closer.
Soon, a large group of officers rushed into the villa.
Their end had finally arrived.
“Boss, Leon has been expelled from Alliance 749!”
A senior member called Noelle, his voice full of guilt. “This was my failure. I never expected someone under my watch using Alliance 749’s name to scam people.”
“When you manage a large organization, oversights are unavoidable,” Noelle replied calmly. “This is the first and last time.”
“Yes, Boss.”
After the call ended, Noelle stared at the Wanderroot in her hand, lost in thought.
The Jensens‘ mess was done. Next, she needed to think about treating Sebastian’s legs.
She had already revealed her medical skills. There was no reason to hide anymore.
She could treat Sebastian openly as Noelle.
But his condition had lasted for years. Even with Wanderroot, her confidence was only around 50% to 60%. The treatment wasn’t risk–free, and she couldn’t promise absolute safety.
Would he trust her? Would he be willing to take that risk?
Noelle held the Wanderroot for a long time. Then she stood and went to find Sebastian.

Sebastian was in the living room, discussing something with Lucas. When Noelle came downstairs, Lucas noticed her first and raised an eyebrow with a teasing grin. “Well, look who’s awake. Noelle, why didn’t you sleep longer?”
Sebastian sat in his wheelchair, wearing a dark sweater with a thin blanket over his legs. He looked up at her. Under the warm lights, his gaze seemed much gentler than usual.
“There’s food in the kitchen. Since you’re up, have something first,” he said evenly.
The servants moved at once, bringing dishes to the table.
But Noelle walked straight over, still holding the box with the Wanderroot. “I’m not hungry,” she said, pausing briefly before speaking seriously. “There’s something I want to say now.”
Sebastian studied her, sensing her hesitation. His voice was gentle. “Just say it. There’s no one else here. Say what you want.”
Lucas leaned back into the couch, clearly intrigued. “What is it? Got some big announcement?”
Noelle pushed the box toward them.
Lucas chuckled. “Isn’t that the Wanderroot you went through hell to get? Why pull it out now? What did you even want it for?”
Noelle looked up, her words clear and steady. “For detoxing. And for treating his legs.”
In an instant, the air seemed to freeze.
Sebastian’s lashes trembled, emotion breaking through his usual calm face.
Lucas’s smile vanished. He fixed his eyes on Noelle, his jaw stiff as his tone turned cold.
“Noelle, say that again.”
“I’ll use the Wanderroot to help your legs,” she said, glancing at Sebastian. Her voice was low but firm. “Honey, let me try.”
Lucas jumped up, his face changing in an instant.
“Noelle, do you even hear yourself?!” he snapped. “Do you know what kind of condition Sebastian has? So many top experts have failed over the years! And now you’re saying one herb can fix it?”
He turned to Sebastian in a panic. “Sebastian, don’t listen to her! This makes no sense! If something goes wrong, the outcome
could be terrible!”
The atmosphere in the living room tightened to the breaking point.
