His power was fire. But he couldn’t control it.

If he didn’t burn someone else, he burned himself.

And that attitude-pure gasoline. One spark and he was flaring up like a bonfire.

The dude even yelled at himself when he got mad.

“You little brat! Are you seriously trying to grope me right now?!

“You just gonna keep lying on me? You planning to turn into roast beef or what?!”

Annelise started to get up but froze when she felt a sharp pull on her scalp. Her hair was caught under his elbow.

Worse, their hair had tangled together. Every time one of them moved, it felt like someone was yanking their roots out.

She shrugged. “Don’t get mad. It’s not like I’m doing this on purpose.”
