Chapter 156 Crazy Bunny
It was Hudson!
“Hudson…”
“Ms. Crawford-go! Get out of here!”
Hudson held his egg tightly in one arm as he strained to restrain Adrian’s monstrous movements with the other.

“You’re carrying a cub now. You shouldn’t be using your beast soul. It’ll drain your spirit energy. For these ten days while you’re expecting, it’s up to us to protect you!”
With that, he yanked hard, trying to pull Adrian back in his direction.
Evan wanted to fly-desperately. He wanted to scoop Annelise into his arms and just take off.
But he was a peacock.
He couldn’t fly high-just a few pitiful flaps, maybe a bit higher than a chicken. He couldn’t
sustain it.
Annelise grabbed his arm instead and pulled. “Forget the house. Let’s go!”
Evan snapped out of it.
But before they could make a move, Adrian suddenly broke free from Hudson’s grip and started stomping wildly with his huge, fluffy bunny feet, smashing the nearby building to pieces.
Chunks of wood and stone flew everywhere-now sharp as blades.
Evan threw his arms around Annelise and dove, shielding her with his body. He covered her head protectively with his hands, holding her close beneath him.
“Evan!”
“I’m fine-don’t move, Ms. Crawford!”
But Annelise could see it-planks and debris raining down from above. There was no way he was “fine.”
Still, Evan clung to her tightly, guarding her with everything he had.
Just then, Riven came running back with the pork-only to find his room flattened under

He exploded. “Hey! You crazy bunny-you flattened my room on purpose, didn’t you?!”
His eyes scanned for Annelise. The moment he saw her safely under Evan’s protection, his body lit up-literally. Flames erupted across his skin. The pork in his hand roasted in seconds, sending mouthwatering meat aroma through the air.
His flames connected to the ground and surged toward Adrian-engulfing him.
Adrian roared in pain, lifting his head to the sky
But something shifted-his eyes suddenly cleared.
His voice came out hoarse, human. “What’s happening to me… what’s wrong with me…”
He whimpered. “Ms. Crawford… I got so big… Why did I get so big…”
He remembered. As a cub, he had once fully shifted into beast form.
Back then, he was only slightly larger than the average rabbit shifter-still small enough to be cradled in his parents’ arms.
But now? He was towering over two houses tall.
“I don’t want this… I hate this… someone, please… someone help me… Ms. Crawford…”
Annelise peeked out from Evan’s arms and called up, “Adrian! Change back to your human form!”
“I… I don’t know how!” Adrian turned, lifting his giant rabbit foot to walk away.
“Watch out! Don’t crush my chickens!” Annelise yelled.
“Ah!” Adrian gasped.
He knew how important those chickens were-they were their food supply for winter.
But as he tried to step back, he lost his balance. His massive, fluffy body teetered-then started to fall backward.
Annelise’s mouth dropped open.
She didn’t even get a chance to scream “No!”
Adrian was about to collapse right onto her bedroom.

She flung out her hand, but there was no way she could stop him.
Right then, Hudson’s tails whipped out again, one wrapping firmly around Adrian’s neck from behind.
At the same time, Rokky was beneath him, using every ounce of strength to hold up Adrian’s giant body.
“I could shift into beast form to hold him,” Rokky grunted, “but then, Ms. Crawford… your house won’t survive either way!”
Riven’s rage reached a boiling point. He clenched his fists, flames roaring around him.
Without hesitation, he slapped Adrian’s massive bunny tail, sending a surge of fire through him, searing his whole body. Then he hurled the charred pork into Adrian’s mouth.
“Eat, you dumb rabbit!”
Annelise panicked. She was always afraid Riven would lose control with that fire of his. At this rate, all her chickens and ducks would end up as rotisserie.
Sustainability mattered, d*mn it.
Not to mention, she had herbs planted. Fruit trees she’d carefully transplanted.
If all that burned, she’d lose everything.
But then, they saw it.
The black aura surrounding Adrian evaporated.
The fire singed his white fur, turning it a little scorched and crispy.
Annelise wrinkled her nose, poking her head out of Evan’s embrace. “He’s not… turning into roast rabbit, right? It does smell kinda good.”
