Chapter 36

Felicia finally calmed down a little, and a vicious smile curled at the corner of her lips.

It wasn’t long before the dorm supervisor arrive. Since the incident involved students from two different classes, Yolanda and Linda were called in as well.

Cameron was already breaking into a sweat. Who would have thought that something like this would happen just as everyone was getting ready for bed? As soon as he arrived, the students around him began chattering nonstop, giving him every detail of what had happened.

“Louisa, hand over the necklace,” Cameron said firmly.

“This is my necklace,” Louisa replied calmly, a hint of impatience in her tone.

Yolanda shot Louisa a look of disgust. She had seen it coming from the start. Louisa’s

character was questionable at best.

“Why don’t you just show it? That would settle it” Yolanda said with a smug glance at Linda. ” I told you, Ms. Carter-this student is trouble. But you refused to listen!”

Linda, however, only looked at Louisa. “Louisa, we’re not accusing you of stealing. Could you please show us the necklace?”

Louisa held Linda’s gaze for a moment before slowly taking off the necklace and handing it to her. It was beautiful but clearly not the same as Felicia’s.

Linda turned to Felicia. “Is this yours?”

Felicia glanced at it, her expression shifting awkwardly before she clenched her teeth. “No. But she has it. I know she does. There are only the two of us in this dorm room. No one else could’ve taken it!”

“Felicia’s right,” Yolanda chimed in. “Linda, you should have your student hand it over.’

Linda looked at Louisa. Seeing how quiet and composed she was, she said, “I believe Louisa isn’t the type to do this. Felicia, could it be that you just misplaced it?”

A flicker of sympathy crossed Linda’s face. She thought Louisa was probably feeling awful right now. What she didn’t see was the irritation and restraint hidden in Louisa’s lowered gaze. “Why do you even trust her?” Yolanda muttered under her breath, convinced Linda was crazy,

Felicia remained silent for a moment before looking up at Yolanda with a malicious grin. “Ms. Scott, maybe we should call the police.”

The room fell dead silent. If the police got involved and theft was proven, the consequences would be serious.

Yolanda’s eyes flicked around before she pulled out her phone. “Since Louisa won’t admit it, it looks like this is the only way.”

Felicia shot Louisa a smug look.

Louisa, however, showed no sign of panic. She only looked mildly annoyed.

Felicia sneered to herself. She wanted to see how calm Louisa would be once this exploded. If this got out, everyone at college would be talking about her by morning. The thought made Felicia’s pulse quicken with excitement.

Just as Yolanda was about to make the call, someone suddenly rushed in from behind.

“Wait, it’s with me!” Hannah hurried forward and held it up. Felicia’s necklace was right there in her hand.

The room went completely quiet.
