Reborn heiress on a scumbag hunt novel Chapter 40

Chapter 40

Louisa didn’t expect Jasper to be so quick with his moves. She blurted out, “Wait, wait, wait!”

He patted his leg again, inviting her over.

Louisa’s expression was a mix of exasperation and delight. She ran over and climbed onto his lap, hugging him. She loved being close to him all the time.

“Were you trying to help me get revenge today?” she asked with a playful glint in her eyes.

“Yeah,” he replied.

Daring to mess with his woman right in front of him definitely took guts.

“Is anyone giving you trouble here?” he asked, lowering his gaze.

Louisa grinned, puffing her chest with pride. “Nah, it’s all me picking on others!”

He nodded, rubbing her head. “Good job.”

“Are you not worried about them coming after you?”

“As long as you’re safe, it doesn’t matter. If anyone wants trouble, they can come to me directly.” “His words were blunt, arrogant, and fearless.

Her smile widened. She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek. “This is your reward!”

“That’s all?” he teased, unsatisfied.

“What else do you want? Don’t forget, we’re on campus!”

“Another kiss.”

She happily obliged, leaning in to kiss his cheek again. But he suddenly turned his head, pressing his lips to hers. She froze for a moment. Just as she was about to pull back, he held the back of her head firmly. He took control, closing the space between them.

What started as a light, teasing kiss quickly grew hot and intense.

Ten minutes later, he finally let go. He was catching his breath against her lips. “If anyone here ever bullies you, you tell me, alright?”

“I know. And don’t worry, no one will!”

Lunchtime was approaching, so Louisa decided to take Jasper with her.

She didn’t settle for the cafeteria. They headed to the third-floor dining hall, the exclusive spot for elites and wealthy students. Only a handful of people were there.

After a sweet lunch together, she saw him off and planned to return to her dorm room for a rest. As she turned a corner, she caught the sound of voices.

“You fat loser, you actually have the nerve to write a love letter?”

“Haha, fatso, maybe take a look in the mirror first!”

“Do you want me to read your love letter out loud to Asher?”

Louisa frowned, drawn to the noise. She peeked around the corner and saw a slightly heavier student surrounded by a group of young ladies. Not far away, two guys stood watching, seemingly indifferent to the scene.
