Liana’s POV

I looked at Tommy’s terrified face and felt a rush of satisfaction. He was completely under my control now, exactly where I needed him.

But I wasn’t done with him yet.

“One more thing, Tommy,” I said, my voice dropping even lower. If you ever–think about telling anyone about this conversation, if you breathe one word of what we discussed to your mate or anyone else…

His eyes widened even more, if that was possible.

“I won’t just kill them quickly,” I continued, enjoying the way he started shaking harder. “I’ll make sure you watch every second of their pain. I’ll make sure you see them beg for mercy that will never come.”

Tommy’s face went completely white.

“Your mate Brinda, your little pup,” I said, circling him slowly. “I’ll torture them in front of you. I’ll make them suffer for hours, maybe days. And you’ll watch it all, knowing it’s happening because you couldn’t keep your mouth shut.”

“Luna, please,” he whispered, his voice cracking.

“And when I’m finally done with them, when they’re begging for death, I won’t even let you bury them,” I said coldly. “You won’t see their bones. You won’t have grayes to visit. They’ll just disappear, and you’ll never

know where they are.”

Tommy dropped to his knees, his whole body shaking with terror.

“Only then will I give you the peaceful death you’ll be begging for,” I finished. “So I suggest you keep this

conversation between us.”

He nodded frantically, tears streaming down his face.

“Good,” I said with a smile. “Remember, tomorrow morning before dawn. Western border. Thirty minutes of distraction. Don’t disappoint me.”

I walked away, leaving him kneeling there in his own fear.

The rest of the day passed slowly, but I had other preparations to make. I needed to ensure my plan would work perfectly, which meant arranging security for my future prison.

I found Marcus first. He was inspecting weapons in the armory, checking each blade for sharpness and damage. Marcus had always been reliable, never one to question orders from his superiors.

“Marcus,” I said, approaching him with my most authoritative Luna voice. “I have an important assignment for you.”

He looked up immediately, setting down the sword he’d been examining. “Yes, Luna. What do you need?”

“This cumes directly from Alpha Jaden,” I said, watching his expression become more serious. “There’s a security situation that requires absolute discretion.”

Marcus straightened, clearly understanding the gravity of using Jaden’s name. “I’m listening, Luna.

“The old storage building at the eastern edge of our territory needs to be secured and guarded, I explained. “This is related to pack safety, and the Alpha needs it protected for several days.”

“What kind of threat are we dealing with?” Marcus asked.

“That’s classified,” I said firmly. “What you need to know is that no one, and I mean absolutely no one, is allowed near that building without direct orders. You’ll need to set up guard rotations immediately

Marcus nodded. “How many guards do you need?”

“At least two at all times,” I said. “And Marcus, this needs to stay completely secret. if word gets out about this operation, it could compromise pack security.”

“Understood, Luna. When do you need this to start?”

“Tonight,” I said. “And it continues until you receive further orders.”

I left Marcus to organize the details and went to find the other warriors I’d need. Jake was in the training yard, practicing his footwork with wooden swords. He was young but dependable, exactly what I needed for this kind of work.

“Jake,” I called out.

He stopped his practice immediately and jogged over. “Luna, how can I help you?”

“I have a special assignment from Alpha Jaden,” I said, using the same serious tone I’d used with Marcus. “You’ll be working with Marcus on a security detail.”

“What kind of security detail?”

“Guard duty at the old storage building. It’s a matter of pack safety, and it requires someone the Aipha

trusts completely.”

“I know you won’t,” I said. “Report to Marcus for the details, and remember, this stays between us.

The third warrior I chose was David, an older pack member who’d been with us for years. He was talking with some of the younger wolves near the packhouse when I approached.

“David, could I speak with you privately?” I asked.

He excused himself from the group and followed me to a quieter area.
