Clara’s POV
Over the next hour, we continued discussing logistics and coordination. The more we talked, the more satisfied I felt. Everything was falling into place perfectly.
“We need to establish clear communication protocols,” Darius said. “Each of us will have specific roles to play.”
“Agreed,” Alpha Ronan replied. “My contacts in the trade networks can start creating financial pressure within the week.”
“And I’ll begin spreading information about territorial weaknesses,” Darius added. “Make other packs question Jaden’s leadership capabilities.”
I listened to them plan, feeling a surge of satisfaction. Alpha Ronan would provide resources and create business pressure against Jaden. Darius would offer intelligence and territorial distractions. And I would be the architect of the real plan, the one I was keeping to myself. “What about timing for the first phase?” Ronan asked. “When do we begin applying pressure?” “After Clara returns from her mission,” Darius said. “We need her insights on any changes in Shadowcrest’s routines before we move.”
“How long will that take?” Ronan pressed.
“Two days, maybe three,” I replied. “Depends on how difficult this rogue proves to track.”
“Good,” Ronan nodded. “That gives me time to position my people properly.”
It was almost too easy. Both Alphas were so eager to help me destroy Jaden that they weren’t asking the hard questions about my methods. They just wanted to be part of bringing him down.
Perfect.
“We’ll need secure communication channels,” Darius continued. “Ways to coordinate without alerting anyone to what we’re planning.”
“I have encrypted phones,” Ronan offered. “Military grade. Untraceable.”
“Excellent,” I said. “That will make coordination much smoother.”
“You’ll carry one on your mission to track the rogue wolf,” Darius added.
I nodded, though part of me was already thinking about how useful these communication tools would be for my real plans. Plans that went far beyond what these two Alphas were imagining.

“What’s our contingency if Jaden suspects something before we’re ready?” Ronan asked.
“He won’t,” I said confidently. “Jaden’s arrogant. He thinks he’s untouchable.”
“Arrogance can be useful,” Darius observed. “It makes people predictable.”
“Exactly,” I agreed. “And predictable enemies are easy to destroy.”
Alpha Ronan smiled at that. “I’m beginning to see why you nearly beat me in the ring, even drugged.”
“Nearly?” I raised an eyebrow.
“Fine,” he chuckled. “Why you would have destroyed me if the fight had been fair.”
“That’s better,” I said, and all three of us laughed.
The conversation continued for another twenty minutes, covering details about resource allocation and information sharing. I contributed just enough to seem engaged while keeping my real plans hidden.
“We should probably wrap this up,” Ronan finally said, checking his watch. “I need to return to my territory and begin making arrangements.”
“Of course,” Darius agreed, standing up. “There’s a lot to prepare.”
Alpha Ronan stood as well, extending his hand to me. “Clara, it’s been a pleasure planning with you.
I look forward to seeing Jaden get exactly what he deserves.”
I shook his hand, smiling. “Oh, he will. Trust me on that.”
There was something in my tone that made Alpha Ronan pause for a moment, studying my face.
But then he smiled back.
“I don’t doubt it,” he said. “Your reputation precedes you now.”
“What reputation?” I asked.
“The warrior who took down Darius’s entire elite force,” Ronan grinned. “Word travels fast among Alphas.”
“Good,” I replied. “Let them all know what happens when you cross the wrong person.”
Darius moved toward the door. “I’ll walk you out, Ronan. Clara, wait here for a moment. I’ll be right
back.”
I nodded, settling back into my chair as the two Alphas left the office. The door closed behind
