Rejected Heiress, Reigning Queen novel Chapter 210

Emma was genuinely curious about what kind of "real business" Tim could possibly have with her.

Knowing his cowardice, he definitely wouldn't be pitching her some bar investment scheme.

Emma followed Tim out first. Carter obediently stayed behind.

Back in the booth, Scarlett had stars in her eyes again.

"My sister-in-law is so incredibly badass, right? I'm so curious about what she was like overseas. Even Timothy Morton is terrified of her."

Tim was a unique figure. His businesses were almost entirely international, with clubs scattered across the globe. His network and resources were unimaginably vast.

That was exactly why, even though Scarlett had booked this VIP booth, he had still dared to barge in to back up Sienna.

"Climbing to a position like hers with no one to rely on... how easy could it have been?"

Carter furrowed his brow, an unshakable ache settling deep in his eyes.

Scarlett nodded. She swore to herself that she would spoil her sister-in-law from now on and make sure she was happy every single day.

Emma and Tim arrived at his office in the bar.

"I heard about you getting kidnapped. I figured it was a good chance to score some points with you and Travis, so I had my guys look into it."

Tim opened the laptop on his desk and plugged in a flash drive.

"Every single camera on that mountain track and the surrounding area went down that day. That track was scheduled for a race shortly after, so having every camera fail at once? I thought it was sketchy and dug deeper."

Tim pulled up an image—a static shot from a security feed.

"The head organizer gave me this. He said this was the guy who contacted the venue manager and had the cameras shut off for the day."

Emma was shocked.

It was Raymond Harrington's bodyguard.

Because she always saw him pushing her uncle's wheelchair, she recognized his face immediately.

"From the look on your face, I'm guessing you recognize him too. So I'll give you a heads-up: someone in the Harrington family wants you dead, and they're using some seriously dirty tricks."

Tim raised an eyebrow, a hint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes.

"Want me to lure him overseas? I can make him disappear for you."

Emma nodded, turning to walk out.

Tim quickly chased after her. "I'll walk you back."

Just as she opened the door, Emma suddenly remembered something. "Do you guys have an exclusive VIP card or something like that here?"

Tim knew the card Emma was talking about—it was an elite membership he offered to specific high-status individuals abroad, but he hadn't launched it domestically.

Too much of a hassle.

But since Emma was asking, he nodded immediately. "Of course."

Tim then added with a teasing grin, "A guy as hot as Carter isn't enough for you? You want to find some fresh meat here? Don't worry, I'll definitely set you up with some clean, gorgeous guys."

Before Emma even had the chance to explain herself, a large hand suddenly clamped securely around her waist.

Carter forcefully pulled her against his chest, fixing Tim with a deadly, piercing stare.

"What exactly are you going to set her up with?"
