Restoring a Life After Seven Years of Wrong Love novel Chapter 118

At those words, the room's collective gaze shifted toward Yvette, colored with suspicion.

Her results from the second round had been disqualified due to allegations of bribing the judges, yet here she was, openly stepping into a Specialist Restorer role.

It seemed obvious she had gotten in through nepotism.

Yvette ignored the stares.

She knew she had a clear conscience.

She didn't care what anyone else thought.

"Yvette will lead Team 1, and Willow will lead Team 2," Director Stern told the room. "As for your team members, you are free to choose whoever you want."

"We'll hand out the dossiers now. They contain the details of the artifacts you'll be restoring, specific requirements, and deadlines. If a timeline is tight or the damage is severe, two people can work on one piece together. The most important thing is that everything must be completed on time."

Her assistant began passing out the folders. Each contained the assignments for both Team 1 and Team 2.

"Team leaders will report to me with a weekly summary. Alright, you can start forming your teams now."

"I expect the final rosters on my desk by noon," Eleanor added, looking at Yvette.

"Understood," Yvette nodded.

Having given her instructions, Eleanor stood up and left the room.

Willow looked at Matthew, wanting him on Team 2—even though she knew he would likely refuse.

If it would annoy Yvette, she was willing to try it.

"Mr. Sutton, would you like to join Team 2? Perhaps we could share some restoration techniques."

"No thanks," Matthew replied, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "I'm much more familiar with Yvette, and we work better together. I'm going with Team 1."

True to his word, Matthew took the pen and immediately wrote his name on Team 1's roster.

Yvette offered a small smile.

"No worries."

Willow's smile dimmed slightly.

She turned to the rest of the room.
