She leaned closer to Yvette, her voice dripping with malice.
"Once that video hits the internet, Lance's identity will be dug up in no time. When that happens, the Yeats Family's business partnerships are going to take a massive hit."
"I wonder if your family's company can survive that? If they end up going bankrupt, don't blame me for not giving you a warning."
Willow's eyes gleamed with wicked amusement. Her gaze drifted down to Yvette's clenched fists, making her feel even more triumphant.
"Then I'll just expose your mother to the public for being a mistress. The internet loves seeing a homewrecker get what she deserves. I wonder if your mom will have rotten eggs thrown at her every time she steps outside."
Yvette twisted her wrist. "Let me go."
Willow's face cycled between red and white. "Do you really think anyone would believe you? But your uncle assaulting someone? There's hard, undeniable proof for that."
Yvette had zero patience left for Willow's garbage. She pulled harder, trying to wrench her hand free.
Willow refused to let go of her wrist. Yvette used her other hand to push her away, but suddenly, Willow's entire body tipped backward.
"Thud."
The back of Willow's head slammed violently into the glass partition. Yvette froze, totally caught off guard.
The amount of force she had used was enough to push the woman away, but nowhere near enough to send her crashing into the glass like that.
Given what had previously happened in the private room at The Vervain, she couldn't help but suspect Willow had done this on purpose.
Slumped on the floor, Willow's face twisted in agony. She reached up to touch the back of her head, her fingers coming away with blood.
The world was spinning around her as she weakly muttered, "Call an ambulance."
Even though Yvette despised her, she wasn't about to just watch her bleed out, so she made the call.
However, she didn't ride along to the hospital.
-
At the hospital.
Willow lay on the bed, a thick bandage wrapped around her forehead, her small face drained of color.
A flurry of hurried footsteps approached, and Jabez's tall figure appeared in the doorway.
