Matthew furrowed his brow tightly. "Why are they looking at you like that?"
Yvette shook her head. "I don't know."
Blythe and the rest of Team Two were lined up right behind them.
"You really can't judge a book by its cover. Looks completely harmless, but underneath, she's a vicious snake who can't stand seeing anyone do better than her."
Blythe examined her manicured nails, her voice dripping with mockery.
"We all got into Solstice by passing the exams with real skill. But not her. Her name wasn't even on the roster, yet she somehow waltzed in as a 'guest restorer.' Who knows what kind of dirty tricks she used to pull that off?"
It was the peak lunch rush, and Blythe purposely raised her voice, drawing everyone's attention.
Everyone at Solstice knew Yvette was the only one brought in under the title of guest restorer.
The glares directed at her grew even more disgusted.
"Shut your mouth," Matthew snapped, his voice sharp as ice.
"Did we hit a nerve? Is that why you're so defensive?" Blythe patted her chest in mock terror. "Ooh, I'm so scared, Mr. Sutton."
"Do you have any proof?" Yvette narrowed her eyes.
"If you don't want people to know, don't do it." A Team Two member pulled out their phone and shoved a video in Yvette and Matthew's faces.
There was no sound on the clip, but it clearly showed Willow grabbing Yvette's wrist.
Then, Yvette pushed her away with her free hand, causing Willow to violently slam the back of her head into the glass partition.
The video was blowing up online, and the comments were flooded with people tearing Yvette to shreds.
Fury flashed in Yvette's eyes.
She had pushed Willow with one hand, but she barely used any force—just enough to make her stumble.
There was no way she could have slammed into the glass that hard.
"Willow has a concussion now, all thanks to you. And yet, here you are, perfectly fine. It's so unfair."
Blythe looked deeply indignant, glaring at Yvette with chilling hostility.
Yvette turned away, deciding to ignore them.
