Why couldn't she drink? Because Willow was pregnant, and pregnant women couldn't have alcohol.

The image of Jabez frantically carrying Willow into the ultrasound wing flashed through her mind.

"What? Pregnant?" Charlotte's face turned livid, her voice jumping an octave in sheer disbelief. "What a pair of scumbags! It's bad enough she's a shameless mistress seducing someone else's husband, but now she's having his bastard child? Isn't she afraid people will curse that kid for the rest of its life?"

Yvette tugged at Charlotte's sleeve. Whenever Charlotte got worked up, she was loud, and now Jabez's entire table was staring at them.

Willow's face drained of color, while Jabez's brows furrowed sharply, radiating a domineering and oppressive aura.

Trent slammed his hand on the table and stormed over furiously. "Yvette, I never thought you could be this despicable! Spreading vicious rumors behind Willow's back. As a woman, do you realize how malicious your words are? Do you have any idea how much damage this could do to her?!"

"Stop trying to play the hero when you're just a clown!" Charlotte crossed her arms, shooting Trent an icy glare. "Her actual boyfriend hasn't even said a word, so who the hell are you to step up?"

Trent choked on his words.

Milton also stood up. "Yvette, I know you have issues with Willow, but please don't spread lies."

Yvette's expression darkened.

People truly didn't know how much a beating hurt until they felt the rod themselves.

If they had sacrificed seven years of their lives only to be publicly humiliated with infidelity, would they still be acting so self-righteous?

As long as she and Jabez weren't divorced, Willow was the other woman!

That was an undeniable fact!

"Willow is not pregnant! You are making up rumors. You're adults; you need to take responsibility for your words."

Yvette froze for a second.

Willow wasn't pregnant?

That day at the hospital, she had seen Jabez carry her into the ultrasound wing with her own eyes. In the mountains, Willow had complained of stomach pains and sought Jabez out, and just now she couldn't have a drink.

"At the hospital that day, I clearly saw Jabez carry her into the ultrasound wing."

"That was because my stomach was acting up, not because of a pregnancy like you imagined." Willow stood up and walked over, staring at Yvette with hostility.

"Ms. Yeats, as women, we shouldn't pit ourselves against each other," Willow continued. "You casually spread rumors about me just by opening your mouth. If I wanted to take this seriously, I could hold you legally responsible. But I expect you to apologize to me."
