A flash of genuine admiration sparked in Flint's eyes. "And who might this be?"
"This is Yvette Yeats, one of our senior restorers at the Azure Atelier. Her technical skills actually surpass my own," Matthew said with a proud smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Quinn," Yvette said, extending her hand with perfect poise.
"The pleasure is all mine, Ms. Yeats. Flint Quinn, Starbright Paper Group."
Flint shook her hand gently and quickly let go.
He had heard the rumors about Matthew personally treating a woman's injuries at Solstice Auctions and carrying her out wrapped in his own jacket.
Clearly, the mysterious woman from the rumors was standing right in front of him.
But as for Matthew's claim that Yvette's skills were superior to his own?
Flint didn't buy it for a second.
Yvette looked even younger than Matthew. Furthermore, Matthew was the son of Crispin Sutton, a national-level master restorer.
Among their peers, Matthew was widely considered an untouchable prodigy. For him to claim Yvette was better sounded completely absurd.
Flint just smiled politely and kept his doubts to himself.
Matthew could tell Flint didn't believe him, but he didn't bother defending her.
One day, Yvette was going to shock them all.
Suddenly, a ripple of excitement swept through the entrance.
A man in a sharply tailored charcoal suit walked in, a deep burgundy tie adding a touch of mature sophistication to his commanding presence.
Beside him stood a woman in a sweeping white evening gown, a delicate metallic chain cinching her waist to perfectly accentuate her curves.
It was Jabez, Willow, Trent Sterling, and Milton Graham.
Trent let out a mocking laugh. "Her? A senior restorer? Not a chance. I've personally seen her running errands and doing grunt work at the Atelier. There is zero possibility she climbed the ranks to senior restorer this fast."
Willow took a delicate sip of her red wine and smiled sweetly. "Her name wasn't on the official list. She didn't pass the semi-finals."
Now Flint was truly surprised. "It seems Mr. Sutton holds her in very high regard."
"Who knew Ms. Yeats was so manipulative?" Milton scoffed. "She actually convinced Mr. Sutton to lie in front of everyone just to elevate her status."
Jabez remained entirely silent, casually listening to their conversation without interjecting.
Across the room, Yvette couldn't care less about their petty gossip.
All she wanted was to finalize the divorce.
She wanted to cut ties, walk away, and never see him again for the rest of her life.
