Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 663

**The Billionaire’s Last Obsession Series 663**
**Chapter 663: Nicholas’s Ending 4**

Sebastian’s obsidian eyes, dark and piercing, narrowed as he spoke slowly, each word dripping with incredulity. “So, you’re telling me that to ensnare a wolf, I must use bait? Is that your implication? That to trap this old scoundrel, I had to be prepared to sacrifice my fiancée?” His voice was low, almost a growl, as he struggled to comprehend the depths of the situation.

Lilian’s face shifted, a flicker of discomfort crossing her features. She let out a dry, humorless laugh, the sound echoing in the tense atmosphere. “Oh, I was merely sacrificing my own interests for the greater good, wasn’t I?” Her words, laced with irony, hung in the air like a thick fog, masking her true feelings.

Sebastian’s gaze remained locked on her, his expression transforming into one of gravity. “We’ll address this matter when we return. There’s much to discuss.” His tone was firm, a promise wrapped in resolve.

From the shadows, Nicholas observed them, a sinister smile creeping onto his lips. “So, this was all a meticulously crafted trap you set for me, designed to lure me out into the open.” His voice dripped with mockery, a taunting challenge.

Sebastian’s cold eyes glimmered with a hint of satisfaction. “Surprised? It took considerable effort to catch you, you know. We calculated every move, yet we never anticipated you’d be hiding right beneath our noses all along. It makes sense now why you always managed to vanish without a trace.”

Nicholas erupted into a hoarse, cackling laugh, a sound that sent chills down the spines of those present. “Incompetence is your downfall! Your Dracovian forces have laid waste to my research bases time and again, which is precisely why I decided to set up shop in your own territory. I used your people for my experiments, allowing you to live in perpetual fear. How does that feel? Surprised, aren’t you?” His eyes sparkled with a twisted glee.

Lilian stepped forward, her demeanor icy as she confronted Nicholas. “Where else did you deploy these drugs? Besides supplying the neurotoxin, what other part did Renee play in your schemes?” Her voice was steady, but the tension in her body hinted at her underlying fury.

A grim smile danced on Nicholas’s lips, a sign of his defiance. “You’ll never uncover the truth. I’ll take my secrets to the grave. Since I’ve been caught, I’ll admit defeat. You Dracovians have a saying: ‘The winner is king, the loser is a bandit.’ Since I’ve lost, do with me as you will—kill me, or cut me up, it matters not.” He fell silent, the weight of his words settling heavily in the air.

Fawks, the imposing figure of authority, stepped forward. “Let’s take these individuals back first. The higher-ups have already ordered this place to be obliterated. We need to retrieve everything inside and study it thoroughly.” He turned to his men, issuing commands with the precision of a seasoned leader. “Contact the nearest unit for support. Bring everything back, including these people.”

“Yes, sir,” the lead soldier responded, his voice crisp and efficient.
