flash, she brought Jake and Julian out of the dimension, both of them already clad in clean tactical gear. Thanks to the magical properties of the hot spring and the raw power of the zombie cores they had absorbed, the entire team was fully energized, their reflexes sharp and their bodies overflowing with peak physical power. Both men looked eager to try their new power out.

A split second later, the military vehicle slammed to a violent halt right outside the shattered entrance. The door was thrown open, and eight heavily armed soldiers jumped out into the showroom, weapons raised defensively as they scrambled for cover.

Jake raised his custom-molded metal bat, stepping forward into the dim light to face the intruders. As the lead soldier adjusted his tactical helmet and turned around, Jake froze. He stared at the man’s face, his eyes widening in total disbelief.

“Will?” Jake called out. It was his old military buddy from his time in the military.

William Moore, a young stocky man around Jake’s age with a surprisingly sunny college-kid vibe despite the apocalypse, locked eyes with his old friend. His face lit up, and he stepped forward, grabbing Jake.

“Jake! Man, I thought you were over in Aurora!” William exclaimed, the panic and adrenaline making his voice rise. “We are actually on our way there right now to evacuate civilians, but we need to outrun these damn zombies first!”

Joanna stepped into the light, her expression completely unreadable as she cut through the reunion. “Let’s chit-chat after,” she said flatly.

William looked a little sheepish under her cold gaze, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, right. Sorry about that, ma’am. We kind of led the horde straight to you guys. But don’t worry-we promise to protect you as best we can.” A minute later, the horde arrived.

The massive wave of the zombie horde slammed into the storefront, shattering the remaining glass partitions into thousands of flying shards. William’s squad immediately opened fire, their rifles barking in a synchronized, deafening rhythm that lit up the dark showroom. But the sheer volume of the undead was overwhelming, threatening to bury the soldiers under a mountain of rotting flesh.

“Hold the line!” William yelled, but before his squad could even finish a reload, Joanna’s team unleashed their absolute, terrifying destructive power.

Joanna led the charge, utilizing her newly upgraded level 2 strength along with her spacial abilities to completely rewrite the rules of engagement. Moving like a ghost, she vanished into thin air right in front of William’s eyes. A split second later, she materialized deep inside the thickest part of the horde outside. With a massive, enhanced physical swipe of her hatchet, she cleanly severed an entire cluster of ten zombies in a single fluid motion. She teleported again and again, leaving a trail of headless corpses before the first ones even hit the ground.

“What is happening?!” William stopped firing, his jaw dropping open. “Did that girl just jump? How did she disappear?! She’s clearing an entire squad’s worth of targets by herself! Is she blinking through space?!”

Beside him, Julian stepped forward with a feral, confident grin. He pushed both hands out, channeling the energy from the cores he had absorbed in the hot spring. Blinding, high-voltage sheets of blue lightning arced violently from his fingertips, tearing through the air with a deafening crackle. The current slammed into the front wave of walkers, vaporizing flesh, exploding skulls from the sheer internal pressure, and

chaining effortlessly from one corpse to the next until dozens of zombies were reduced to smoking piles of ash.

A soldier next to William stumbled backward, dropping his extra gun magazine in shock. “How is he doing that?! Is that real lightning coming out of his hands?! Did he somehow modify a weapon, or is that coming from his body?!”

The entire military squad was completely paralyzed with shock. They watched in utter disbelief as Jake joined the fray, charging forward like a heavy tank. Dropping his bat, he thrust his palms forward as an eerie silver sheen rippled across his skin. With a sharp grunt, a volley of razor-sharp metal spikes shot directly from his hands like a deadly shotgun blast. The spikes tore through the air, piercing straight through the skulls and chests of an entire row of oncoming zombies and pinning them to the pavement.

“Look at the ground! Where did those metal spikes come from?” another soldier shouted, leaning forward to get a better look. “Is he conjuring iron out of thin air?! What kind of gear are they wearing?!”

Together, the three civilians operated as an unstoppable, devastating force of nature. They easily wiped out the entire horde in a matter of fifteen minutes, leaving the area completely silent while the trained, heavily armed soldiers could only stare at them, desperately trying to make sense of the impossible sight before them.

While the soldiers stood in absolute shock, Joanna stepped through the field of smoking, severed corpses. With a practiced flick of her wrist, she channeled her spatial ability, extracting the glowing zombie cores from the fallen monsters in rapid succession. The crystals shaking loose, disappearing into her pocket. dimension so fast no one could see it. This was a massive, incredibly good haul.

The successful harvest instantly put Joanna in a fantastic mood. Ignoring the grim scenery, she started humming a cheerful, upbeat tune happily as she made her way back into the shattered storefront.

William watched her, his eyes wide as he slowly turned to his old friend. “Jake,” he whispered, his voice shaking as he pointed toward the door. “This woman is terrifying. She just single-handedly slaughtered hundreds of monsters, and she’s… humming?”
