Nicolas and Caleb never expected things to turn out like this.

When they heard what Alicia said, they were completely at a loss for words.

They couldn’t help but shoot Jett a death glare.

‘None of this would’ve come up if it weren’t for him,’ Nicolas thought.

Caleb glanced at Nicole, feeling a bit speechless at how she could cry so easily.

But he kept his mouth shut.

Nicolas jumped in right away. “What romantic thing? There’s nothing like that going on.”

With a helpless look, he tried to explain again. “Ally, there’s really nothing between Nicole and me.”

Nicole’s alt account getting exposed had landed him in a whole mess of trouble.

He didn’t feel flattered at all about Nicole secretly liking him for years-if anything, it just made things more complicated for him.

After all, whether he was the Moore family’s heir or a superstar, he always had people chasing after him.

Alicia just ignored him and didn’t say a word.

Jett shot Nicolas a disapproving look.

“Nicole used to have such a huge crush on you, and you were always spoiling her. Why are you still too scared to admit it? Seriously, man up.”

Then he turned to Marley and joked, “How about we add a green salad with cottage cheese to dinner? Maybe if Nicolas eats it, he might just come out looking whiter than white.”

Alicia couldn’t help but let out a snort of laughter.

guy was seriously sent here just to mess with us,’ she thought.

Landon couldn’t hold back either and cracked up. ‘Jett is just too much,’ he thought,

The others wanted to laugh too, but they were too embarrassed to let it out, so they just kept it in.

Nicolas was dying to shut Jett up for good.

“This nutcase must be high on something, Nicolas thought.

Now he disliked Nicole even more. Was she seriously trying to mess with him by bringing Jett along?

He couldn’t let this keep going. If he let Jett keep hijacking the conversation, things would only get messier and he’d never be able to set the record straight.

He turned to Marley and said, “Looks like everyone’s here. Are you finally going to tell us what we’re doing for this episode?”

Marley, now in the spotlight, couldn’t keep playing dumb and just watch the drama anymore.

So he said. “Honestly, the production team doesn’t even know what you’ll be doing next.

“We asked the public for suggestions.

“Many people and organizations in need reached out to us for help.

“After sorting through all the requests, we picked out ten that are suitable for you guys to help with.

“After talking it over, the production team will randomly pick one of the ten requests right here, and you guys will step up and help out.

“Once we’ve drawn one, the viewers watching live can chime in with their ideas. Then each group will pull another request, and all the guests will take on whatever comes up.

This way, you can see our live stream is totally unscripted and real.

“We welcome everyone to jump in and get involved with your suggestions.”

Not just the guests-even the viewers didn’t see the production team pulling off something this wild.

Honestly, nobody’s ever seen a show play out like this before. If they’re really doing it this way, then yeah, it’s totally unscripted.

Nicolas let out a sigh of relief. Finally, he could leave that whole awkward mess behind.

As for Nicole, sitting there all teary-eyed and looking so wronged, he completely ignored her.

Right now, all he wanted was to put as much distance as possible between himself and the girl who’d just embarrassed him in front of everyone. No way was he going to go over and console her with everyone watching.

Caleb just pretended he didn’t see anything.

The only reason he joined the show was to win Alicia back and make up with his real sister.

As for Nicole, she’d probably get over it after a good cry.

Besides, it’s not like she could ever really leave the family anyway.

Even if he didn’t bother comforting her this time, there was no way she’d actually walk out of the Hammond family on her

own.

If she started getting all depressed again, he’d just get her another therapist,

She bursts into tears at the drop of a hat-there’s definitely something off emotionally.

The more he thought about it, the more he figured his dad should just get Nicole another therapist when they got home.

If things got really out of hand, they could always send her to a clinic or something.

Nicole had no clue that her dear big bro Caleb was actually considering sending her off to a psych clinic to get checked out.

If she ever found out, she’d absolutely flip out.

She was still hoping Nicolas or Caleb would come over and comfort her, or at least say something to help her save face and get her out of this awkward spot.

But instead, Caleb kept quiet, and Nicolas purposely steered the conversation away.

It was beyond embarrassing for her.

She’d actually been considering dropping out of this episode of the live-streamed variety show.

After all, she was trending online for all the wrong reasons, and people were hating on her left and right.

But it just felt unfair. Why should she have to let Alicia take the spotlight?

If she skipped out, everyone would just assume she was chickening out or had something to hide.

Besides, whenever she got upset or felt mistreated before, Nicolas and Caleb would always rush to comfort her.

She figured she could use that to show everyone that, even if Alicia cut her off, she was still the favorite in their eyes.

And if she could find a chance to push things further with Nicolas-maybe even make it a done deal-all the better.

That sneaky plan was actually Jett’s idea.

The more she thought about it, the more she was convinced this plan could actually work.

After all, her stepfather still spoiled her. Even if she was just the stepdaughter, she was still the Hammond family’s princess.

If Nicolas ever did anything with her, he’d have no way to explain himself to the Hammonds.

The two families’ businesses and interests were totally tied together, so with all that pressure, Nicolas would be forced to marry her, no matter what he wanted.

She was sure that with her tricks, once she became his wife, she’d definitely melt his heart and make him fall for her completely.

Just like her mom managed to win over her stepdad.

But neither Nicolas nor Caleb came over to comfort her, totally messing up her plan.

She couldn’t believe it-she felt even more wronged and miserable.

Resentment started bubbling up inside her.

If Nicolas was going to force her hand like this, then she’d stop at nothing to get him.

Then the production team put the ten requests they’d picked out up on the projection screen behind the guests.

The messages kept looping on the screen, cycling through one after another.

Marley looked over at Nicolas and said, “Mr. Moore, let’s see who you’ll be helping out this episode.

“Go ahead and do the honors-press the button and pick for everyone.”

Before Nicolas could even make a move, Jett spoke up right away, not having any of it.

He turned to Marley and said, “Why does he get to pick?

Nicolas just couldn’t with this guy. ‘Seriously, does Jett have to make a scene about everything? What’s his deal?’ he thought.

Not wanting Jett to say anything crazier, Nicolas gave him a frosty look and said, “Whatever, go ahead.”

Jett didn’t miss a beat. He stood up and said, “Okay, I’ll pick.”

Everyone quickly realized Jett wasn’t just savage with his words-he was seriously thick-skinned, too.

The live chat was totally split: half the viewers thought he was a riot, while the other half were busy flaming him.

Nicolas’s fans were especially ruthless, going off on him nonstop.

Marley just smiled and said, “Alright, Jett, you go ahead.”

After all, Jett was the Kingsley family’s little prince-nobody dared to cross him.

Jett walked over and pressed the pause button on the remote.

The messages on the screen started to slow down, then landed on one of the requests.

Marley took a closer look at the message and said, “This one’s from Greenpeak Village.”

“The place is super poor and pretty underdeveloped. They finally got a road to the county a couple years ago, which helped a bit, but they still have no idea how to actually make a living.

“So they’re hoping the production team can come check out Greenpeak Village and maybe the guests can brainstorm some ways for them to prosper.

“And hey, if we can’t figure out a way for them to get ahead, that’s cool too. At least we’ll give their village some publicity.”

Honestly, for a lot of these requests, just getting some attention from the show is already a win-even if their problems don’t actually get solved.

At the very least, it gets their name out there, and that’s another way to help them out.

Marley turned to the guests and asked, “So, the focus of this episode is going to be Greenpeak Village. Any objections?”

Honestly, this was a solid theme-helping a struggling village figure out a way to prosper. It was all about bringing some positive energy and uplifting the community.

Everyone was on board. Nobody had any complaints.

Greenpeak Village was located in a whole different province, so getting there was going to be quite a trek.

The production team hadn’t done any secret planning-they really hadn’t booked any flights ahead of time.

So now they started booking tickets and sorting out transportation to Greenpeak Village.

They told the guests to head back and rest up, since everyone would be flying out together tomorrow.

They also told viewers to drop their suggestions on the official X page.

Basically, once the guests got to Greenpeak Village, the audience could come up with all sorts of crazy challenges or fun stuff for them to do.
