Knox inclined his head towards the school. “We better get going.”

The guys surrounding Chris began to laugh and point, other students joining in. He took off down the hallway, his head ducked low, one hand covering his crotch as people cackled and shouted taunts. That was what happened when you were an asshole to everyone. They’d turn on you the moment you showed weakness.

I turned my gaze away from the pitiful sight. Something told me we wouldn’t have to worry about Chris again. Now it was just Sadie. There was no telling how she’d react to the events of yesterday. They could’ve scared her straight. Or she could double down on her reign of terror.
