Chapter 192
Caspian lifted a piece of paper and set it between us. The printout of the map had a series of red Xs all over it. “These are where he’s used a card.”
There were a few that appeared to be near lakes, but none of those had a mountain nearby.
“I think Kaleb is smart enough to know someone might break into his accounts to look for a trail. If this really is his hidey hole, he’s probably not using anything traceable in the vicinity. He probably switches to cash and burner phones. Likely has his enforcers do the same.”
I looked up at Caspian. “Then why are you still mapping the places he used his card?”
“I’m hoping it will give us a pattern. Want to help?”
“Sure.”
Caspian smiled. “I always wanted a sidekick.”
“Hey, I think I’m superhero material in my own right.”
He leaned in and took my mouth in a kiss. That steady pressure that made my toes curl threatened to swallow me whole. When Caspian finally pulled away, I was breathless.
“A distracting as hell superhero.”
I chuckled. “Right back at you.” I picked up the red pen Caspian had been using. “Ready when you are.”
He brought up a browser that seemed to be a bank interface. “All right. Did I mark off Idaho Falls?”
I scanned the printout. “Yup.”
“Coeur d’Alene?”
I ran my finger over the paper, scanning the cities and towns. “Found it. That one isn’t marked.”
“Put a red X through it.” Caspian typed on his keyboard. “Nampa.”
“Found it and marked it.”
We continued like that for another hour at least. Based on the number of hits, we had to have covered years Kaleb’s transactions. Caspian hit the return key and sighed. “Okay, I think that’s it.”

Chapter 192
I leaned back in my chair, stretching. “Now what? It just looks like a jumble of red marks to me.”
“Now we look for the patterns.”
Caspian leaned over the map and picked up a pencil. As he studied the printout, he began drawing circles. With each swipe of his pencil he connected another series of red Xs. Before long, the paper began to resemble a Venn diagram.
I leaned closer, trying to get a look at the center.
“When you think about it from a logical perspective, there has to be a buffer around where he’s hiding.” Caspian’s pencil kept drawing the circles tighter and tighter.
With each pass of lead against paper, an empty space began to appear. I sucked in a breath. “That’s a lake.”
“A small one, but I’d say it qualifies.” He dropped the pencil and turned back to the computer screen, pulling up the map. “What’s the name?”
I squinted at the tiny letters. “Green Lake.”
“Not very original,” Caspian muttered as he typed.
“We aren’t looking for original. We’re looking for something that could house a criminal mastermind.”
He chuckled and then stilled. “Holy crap.”
“What?”
Caspian typed furiously for a few moments and then scanned the screen, “Green Lake was purchased by a corporation for private development fifteen years ago. It’s no longer open to the public and locked gates prevent any road access.” He looked up, meeting my gaze. “It’s at the base of a series of mountains.”
“What’s the name of the corporation?”
Caspian turned back to the screen, searching. The muscles across his shoulders pulled tight. “Kal–tech.”
Nausea swept through me. “Of course he wouldn’t be able to resist naming even a shell company after himself.”
“What an asshole.”
“The biggest.”
Caspian shifted so that he was facing me. He tugged my chair closer to himself. “We found him.”
A shudder shot through me. “He’s there. I don’t know how to explain it, but I just know.”

Caspian’s hands came up to frame my face. “We’re going to stop him, Sen. Then you and everyone else will be free.”
“Thanks to you. We would still be fumbling around in the dark if you hadn’t thought of this idea.”
The corner of his mouth kicked up. “I am a computer genius.”
I leaned forward, skating my lips across his. “You are.”
He grinned against my mouth. “Is this my reward?”
“No. But this is.” I sunk to the carpet. My fingers going to the button on Caspian’s jeans.
His hand closed around mine. “Senna, I was joking.”
My eyes lifted to his. “I’m not.”
Caspian’s length strained against his boxers. I pulled it out and closed my lips around his tip. Caspian let out a groan that had me squeezing my thighs together.
I took note of every shudder and hissed out breath as my tongue swirled. I tested suction and flicks of my tongue. That invisible cord in me wound tighter as Caspian’s sounds of pleasure floated through the air.
“Senna.”
My name was a plea on his lips.
I released my grip on his shaft. “Yes?”
His eyes hooded and in the next moment, I was airborne. Then Caspian’s hands were on my workout shorts, pulling them down. His fingers dove between my legs and his eyes flared. “So wet. Did that turn you on?”
I bit my lip. “I like knowing I can bring you pleasure.”
Caspian’s gaze went arctic as he trailed that wetness to my clit, circling. “I’ve never known pleasure like what you bring me.”
I couldn’t help the shiver that rocked through me. But it wasn’t enough. I wanted what I always did. To feel one of my mates moving inside me. “Caspian, please.”
“More?”
“You.”
