Something about that comment felt off to Killian. Bradley’s words sounded concerned on the surface, but his tone was completely cold and detached, without a

trace of warmth.

But Killian couldn’t figure out why Bradley would be targeting him, so he just chalked it up to Bradley’s speaking style. He thanked him. “I appreciate you looking out for me, Mr. Ferrer. I’ll keep that in mind.”

“Of course. My mother’s been thinking about you too, actually. Last time your mother asked her to help find you some suitable blind date candidates, she’s already working on it. Looking forward to your wedding, Mr. Frost.” Bradley finished with a smile like they were the

best of buddies.

Nicole, standing nearby, went wide-eyed with shock and stared at Killian. “Mr. Frost?”

Killian’s mouth opened slightly as he looked at Bradley again, trying to figure out if there was any hostility there. But no matter how hard he looked, Bradley’s expression gave nothing away. He nodded with a forced smile. 15:43

“We’ll get going.” He quickly ushered Nicole and Austin away before Nicole could explode.

“Dad!” Olivia called after him. “Don’t forget that hundred thousand dollars! Just transfer it to my mom’s account!”

Killian glanced back at his daughter and said through gritted teeth, “I know.”

Once they got back to the car, Nicole finally lost it. She let out a resentful shriek. “Mr. Frost, what did Mr. Ferrer mean back there? Are you really going on blind dates?”

She desperately wanted to ask where that left her. She’d ignored what society thought, put up with all kinds of criticism, and devoted herself completely to Killian. But he was secretly planning blind dates behind her back?

Still, Nicole didn’t dare ask so directly, because Killian had never given her any promises. He spoiled her and indulged her, but that was all.

Killian transferred 100 thousand dollars to Calista and noted it was for Evander’s medical expenses.

Nicole’s nagging voice drilled into his ears until he thought his eardrums might burst.

She had the nerve to interrogate him? Like he didn’t know she’d just gone off to flirt with Calista’s boy toy.

“What about what you were doing in the lobby just now?”

“I…” Nicole bit her lip, and her attitude softened. “Okay, fine. I’ll be honest. I just couldn’t stand watching your ex-wife deliberately making you jealous with that boy toy, so I wanted to make her jealous too.”

Nicole bit her lip and glanced at Austin in the back seat with a teasing smile. “Austin, looks like you’re about to get a stepmom! Better behave yourself from now on and watch that temper, or she’ll make your life hell.”

Austin kept his head down, absorbed in his game and completely unbothered. He was his dad’s real son, the Frost family heir and future head of the family. Who

would dare mess with him?

Without looking up, he said casually, “If they want to marry my dad, they need my approval first. Do they really think getting into the Frost family is that easy?”
