"Gregory has very loose lips. Everything you tell him is sure to be leaked within an hour!" Alva said teasingly.
"I heard there's a problem with the partnership between Fletcher Corporation and Vitality Biotech. It's karma for Angeline's asshole ex-husband!"
Marion took an angry bite of a piece of celery.
She glared at Gregory and said, "I can't understand why Gregory's family still wants to help Angeline's asshole ex-husband."
"This has nothing to do with me! I'm not the one who wants to help!"
Gregory tried to defend himself.
"There's nothing I can do to help, anyway."
Angeline smiled and took a sip of her drink. It turned out Ned had asked the overseas Steele Group for help. It was no surprise that he had the confidence to talk to Danny about compensation.
"Forget it. It's nothing. Gregory says he's going to take us to the Night Palace tonight! Let's make the most of it!" Alva said.
"I've heard about the Krontos Night Palace! I heard that the membership fees themselves cost over 200 thousand a year. When people visit, they spend an average of 20 thousand and above. All the wait staff are either top-quality models who have perfect abs and are over six feet tall or hot young ladies! This time, we'll be able to see for ourselves," Marion said while grinning.
Then she turned to look at Gregory.
"You'd better keep your mouth shut. Otherwise, I'll tell my husband that you were the one who insisted on dragging me to look at male models!"
Gregory mimed the act of zipping his mouth up.
"Don't worry. I'll keep it a secret for sure this time."
After they finished their dinner, Angeline left the restaurant arm in arm with Marion and Alva. Lenny put down his burger and sprinted over from the car.
"You can go home," Angeline said to Lenny.
"I'm going out with my friends, and they'll be coming back to stay with me. I won't be alone. You can get home early to rest."
Angeline had already talked to Alva and the others. After all, Sean wasn't coming over for the next few days.
"But Mr. Powell said…"
"Mr. Powell listens to me, too!"
Angeline smiled and looked at Lenny, who still looked like a child.
