Second Marriage to Mr. Rich (Ned Fletcher) novel Chapter 295

Monica smiled as she lifted her cup. "Even if we haven't reached a consensus on collaboration, I really like you and approve of your abilities. I'd be honored to be your friend."

Angeline also lifted her cup. "It's my pleasure to be friends with you, Ms. Monica."

The two exchanged a smile and drank their coffee. Monica then stood up with a smile. "I should go back to the party now, lest my sisters catch me here. Oh, and… I'm sure that after you join Lawson Global, my sisters will come to talk to you about collaboration."

Angeline naturally understood. In the eyes of outsiders, Monica and Sean were on the same side, and Angeline seemed like Sean's competitor. Naturally, Sean's and Monica's enemies would want to work with Angeline.

"Since we're already friends, if you plan to work with my two sisters, remember to let me know." Monica smiled. "Let's have coffee another day."

"Sure." Angeline nodded.

When Monica came out of the lounge, she was startled to see Sean standing at the door. She tightened her grip on her handbag and wondered how much of her conversation with Angeline Sean had overheard.

Although what she said to Angeline earlier could be seen as inciting discord between Angeline and Sean, Monica remained composed and greeted Sean, "Mr. Lawson."

"Ms. Monica." Sean nodded.

As Monica walked past Sean toward the hall, a layer of sweat formed on her palms. When she looked back and saw Sean entering the lounge, she only hoped that Angeline wouldn't be swayed by family ties and would remain clear-headed.

When Angeline saw Sean come in and casually shut the door, her pair of clear and innocent eyes widened, showing a hint of innocence.

"W-Why did you come in here?" Feeling extremely uneasy, Angeline quickly got up and walked toward Sean. "What if someone sees us?"

As their lips parted and their tongues entwined, Angeline's arms tightened, her high heels making a messy sound as she subconsciously searched for support behind her. Sean's dominant kiss forced her to retreat until her hips hit the coffee table.

Angeline propped herself up with one hand on the table behind her, just managing to withstand Sean's kiss.

Sean's familiar scent invaded her lungs, making her legs weak. She almost had to lean against the coffee table behind her to stand.

Thinking back to what Monica had said earlier, about how Sean had transferred her to another hospital and visited her every week when she was in a vegetative state, Angeline couldn't help but be moved.

No one knew whether she could regain her consciousness back then. How could she not be touched by what Sean had done for her during that period?

As Angeline's mind was muddled, Sean suddenly released her lips. He lifted her onto the coffee table, removed his glasses, and kissed her more forcefully.
