Sean ran his fingers through Angeline's long hair. He pressed his palm against the back of her head, deepening their kiss. It became increasingly intense and dangerous, as if he wanted to devour her completely. He gradually lost control, and his actions became rough.
Angeline pressed against Sean's chest and turned her head aside. Her chest heaved as she gasped. "It's Granddad's birthday party today. Don't let anyone see us together."
If anyone found out that they were together at Robert's birthday party, it would shock Robert and undoubtedly bring criticism to him.
The guilty pleasure made Angeline's heart beat anxiously.
Panting, Sean used his fingers to wipe away Angeline's lipstick which was smudged by their kisses. He whispered, "Mr. Millstone said that Dad has prepared a gift for you. He asked me to take you to see it."
"Okay," Angeline responded. Almost instinctively, she reached out to help Sean straighten his wrinkled suit. "You go back to the hall first. I'll be there soon."
Sean placed a kiss on Angeline's forehead.
Just now, watching Angeline speak so eloquently on stage, he had already felt an irresistible urge to kiss her.
Or perhaps, ever since confirming their relationship, Sean had always wanted to kiss Angeline.
He wanted to hold her slender and soft body. He wanted to suck her tender lips and tongue, never wanting to part.
As he walked, he sent a voice message to Helen. "Besides Sean, you have another competitor now. Angeline has become your uncle's granddaughter, Jessica's adopted daughter. She should be entitled to half of the Lawson family's assets."
After sending the message, Winston tucked his phone into his pocket and strode toward the hall.
Back in the hall, Winston's gaze followed Angeline, who was conversing with those offering Robert their congratulations. Angeline and Sean were standing on each side of Robert.
Daniel noticed Winston's gaze and elbowed his son. "Listen to me. Don't set your sights on Angeline. You're not worthy of her."
Hearing his father say this, Winston immediately felt unhappy. "What's not worthy about me? I didn't even mind that she's from Emmerson Village."
