"Can't Daddy sleep with us?" Yasmine looked up and blinked in confusion. "Mommy, I want Xavier and I to sleep between you and Daddy!"
"I don't wanna!" Xavier prodded Yasmine's chubby cheek scornfully. "Don't forget that we have to call him 'Mr. Lawson' when we're here!"
Yasmin rubbed her cheek, looking glum. "Alright, then…"
"They haven't seen you for a while, so you should get into bed with them." Sean tucked his phone into his pocket. "I'll go check on Mr. Lawson Senior in the study."
"Okay."
Once Sean was gone, Yasmine pounced on Angeline and wrapped her arms around her leg. "Mommy, Mommy! Can you help me and Xavier with something?"



"You can give whatever you've allocated to me to Angie or the kids," Sean said.
Robert sighed and shut his eyes when he saw how determined Sean was to leave. "Do you really… have to leave?"
Sean leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees. He clenched his fists and lowered his gaze. After a long silence, he said, "I can't forget the sight of my parents dying before me.
"My mother was trapped by her seatbelt, but she still did everything she could to unbuckle me. But the more she tugged on it, the harder it became to unbuckle…"
