At the Longbottom estate in Havenmill, Tony and his family were packing up their belongings. They were moving out of the house they had stayed in for thirty years. His grandchildren had all been born here, but no matter how long they had stayed, it was not truly their home.

Around evening, several cars drove into the estate and stopped at the entrance of the main residence.

Gideon, the butler, came out, assuming they were visitors.

Ever since Laurence reclaimed his place as head of the family, the number of visitors had dwindled considerably. After all, Tony was no longer the acting head of the Longbottom family. Although Laurence appeared to treat the elders with great respect, it was all just for show.

Noelle got out of one of the cars. The moment Gideon saw the cool, striking woman, he knew Laurence had arrived. He immediately plastered a broad smile on his face and hurried down the steps, approaching the car Laurence was in.

He bent forward to open the door for Laurence, but Noelle stopped him.

She said coldly, "Please step back. Mr. Laurence doesn't need you to serve him."

For security reasons, Laurence either got out of the car himself or had Noelle open the door for him. He generally did not allow anyone else to approach. Who knew if someone coming close might be hiding a weapon and try to stab him while he was getting out?

Gideon's smile did not falter. He answered respectfully, "Of course."

Then, he took several steps back, keeping his distance as he watched Noelle open the car door for Laurence.

Laurence looked striking, dressed in a sharp suit. An air of nobility seemed to surround him.

Gideon watched him step out of the car, every movement radiating quiet authority. He could not help but compare Laurence with Manny.

Manny had been the acting family head, who also usually wore suits and was accompanied by a group of bodyguards whenever he went out. However, no matter how many bodyguards he brought along, his bearing could never compare with Laurence's.
