As he spoke, he stood up and reached into his pocket to pull out a sheet of paper.
He had genuinely spent the entire night in his study, meticulously drafting a list of names for his grandson.
But before he could even unfold the paper, Remington looked directly at Fiona and interjected.
"Grandma, we've already asked Liz's grandfather to choose Joy's name. It should be finalized in the next day or two. I'll let you know as soon as it's decided."
Lizetta had assumed Remington had already informed Fiona that Nelson Madden would be the one picking the name.
She had no idea he hadn't even mentioned it.
Lizetta worried Fiona might be offended, but to her surprise, Fiona didn't look bothered in the slightest. She just nodded with a bright smile.
"Having Nelson choose the name is wonderful. He's a man of profound wisdom and culture. Whatever he picks will undoubtedly be elegant and perfect..."
Nathan's face, however, turned sour. He still pulled out the paper filled with his carefully selected names and insisted.
"Joy is the eldest grandson of the Dashiell family. His name should be chosen by his own flesh and blood..."
Before Nathan could finish his sentence, Fiona shot him a sharp glare.
"Enough. It's just a name. It doesn't matter who picks it, as long as it's chosen with love and good intentions."
Her eyes carried a clear warning: *Shut your mouth.*
It wasn't that her son lacked emotional intelligence; he just constantly demanded attention in places where he was clearly unwanted.
He had been placed on a pedestal his entire life, never facing any real rejection. Because he was so used to acting superior, he was completely blind to how insufferable he was, even at his age.
But Nathan believed a grandson's name was a critical matter that couldn't just be handed off to anyone.
In the Dashiell family's current generation, though their direct lineage didn't have any other grandchildren yet, the extended cousins already did.

Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring?
