Hearing this, Quinn's face instantly flushed crimson.
"What... what nonsense are you talking about?"
"Who wants to sleep with you?"
As she spoke, she lay down in a fluster, pulling the blanket up to cover herself.
Did this man swing both ways?!
Goosebumps instantly erupted all over her skin.
Raymond watched the woman cocooned in the blanket, still squirming around on the bed, and let out a low, barely audible chuckle.
"Go to sleep. I'll keep an eye on Leo's IV."
A long time passed before a soft voice mumbled from beneath the covers.
"Raymond..."
"Hmm?" The man lifted his gaze.
"Thank you."
"Yeah."
After all the exhaustion, it didn't take long for Quinn to fall into a deep sleep.
In the past, she never would have dared to sleep; she would have sat rigidly by the bed, watching over the little guy all night.
But with Raymond here to back her up, she could finally let her guard down and rest.
Quinn slept soundly through the night. When she woke up the next day, it was already pushing eight in the morning.
She sat up and immediately checked on Leo in the next bed.
He was fast asleep. His fever had broken, and his complexion was no longer flushed, though his little face was still a bit pale.
Following that, her gaze naturally drifted to the sofa across the room.
Raymond was asleep on the couch, his long legs still bent awkwardly, with his black shirt draped over him like a blanket.
Perhaps due to the uncomfortable position, his brows were slightly furrowed. Yet even so, he didn't look the least bit disheveled.
In sleep, his striking features lost their usual sharp edge. The soft morning light filtering through the curtains cast a gentle glow over his face.
Afraid of waking him, Quinn decided to step outside.
She also needed to call Lydia and find out when she was arriving.
"Alright."
Quinn hung up. She was about to head back to the room when she turned around and saw Vivienne and Dante.
Dante was wearing black dress pants and a light gray striped shirt. She recognized that shirt; it was the birthday gift she had given him the year they got married.
He was out with Vivienne while wearing the clothes his wife bought him—wasn't he worried Vivienne would be disgusted?
Besides, it wasn't even a designer brand. Why was he still wearing it three years later?
Vivienne wore a purple dress that made her look delicate and sweet.
Whatever she was saying to Dante, her bright red lips were curved into a radiant, happy smile.
Right now, these two were the last people Quinn wanted to see. She turned toward the stairwell to avoid them, but Dante called out.
"Quinn!"
Seeing her, Dante strode over and blocked her path.
"What are you doing here? Are you not feeling well?"
He asked anxiously while looking her up and down.
