Dante's expression was thunderous, his hand locked onto the window frame, refusing to let Raymond drive off.

He narrowed his eyes, shifting his wrathful stare toward Quinn.

"Who was it that swore my passenger seat was the only one they'd ever sit in, and that it belonged exclusively to them?"

Quinn couldn't fathom why he was bringing up ancient history now, looking at him with sheer exasperation.

"That was childish nonsense from years ago. Are you seriously clinging to that? From now on, I'm exclusively sitting in Ray's passenger seat. Anyone can have yours for all I care!"

The single sentence—'I'm exclusively sitting in Ray's passenger seat'—ignited Dante's rage. His icy, lethal glare snapped back to Raymond.

The crushing intimidation and explicit threat radiating off him were unmistakable.

"I don't care what your motives are for getting close to her. She is my wife, not some stray bone any random dog can try to snatch!"

Raymond met his furious stare coolly from behind his sunglasses, a cynical smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth as he let out a low scoff.

"Looks like I'm making Mr. Hayes feel threatened again."

Raymond's sheer arrogant indifference pushed Dante over the edge. "You? A mere bodyguard?"

"I'm just reminding you to know your place. Our marriage is bulletproof against the likes of you. Just moments ago, we were sharing a passionate kiss! She still wants me! You had better..."

Quinn snapped, utterly disgusted. "That's enough, Dante!"

She turned to Raymond. "Drive!"

Seeing Raymond hit the gas, Dante was forced to release his grip on the car. He stood there, watching the taillights fade into the distance, his eyes frozen in absolute fury.

Pulling his gaze away, he stalked over to his own vehicle.

His private driver had been waiting, but instead of getting in, Dante pulled out his phone and dialed Silas Vance.

"What's the status on the investigation from back then?"

Silas replied, "Mr. Hayes, I was just about to call you. I tracked down the forest ranger..."

Dante's face remained stone-cold, but his knuckles turned white as he gripped his phone. "What did he say?"

...

Vivienne took the next elevator down to the basement, accompanied by Leon Ambrose.

"Dante, are you heading back to the office or going straight home?"
