"Moretti the Bodyguard, you're fired."

The words were delivered effortlessly, yet they struck like a gavel, leaving zero room for negotiation.

He wasn't firing him—he was simply informing him of a done deal.

Raymond didn't even flinch, his sharply angled face remaining a mask of chilling indifference.

Behind his dark sunglasses, his gaze didn't waver for a fraction of a second.

"Mr. Hayes, my employer is still Ms. Yates."

"Therefore, whether I am hired or fired is entirely up to her."

Dante's predatory gaze darkened, a menacing shadow falling over his features.

He took a slow, deliberate step forward. The two men were matched in both height and overwhelming dominance.

Their opposing auras clashed violently, packing the room with volatile tension.

"She is returning to the Hayes family. She is returning to *me*." Dante leveled a look of supreme arrogance at the other man. "Belvedere Gardens doesn't lack security personnel, and it certainly doesn't need you."

"The only man standing by her side will be me."

His words dripped with a sick, possessive obsession—ruthless and overbearing.

"It's awfully crowded by your side, Mr. Hayes. Ms. Yates probably wouldn't even want to squeeze in."

It was a razor-sharp jab at Dante's entangled history with Vivienne.

"Who the hell do you think you are, weighing in on my personal business!"

"If you want to throw your weight around, Mr. Hayes, you've come to the wrong place." Raymond's jaw clenched, completely unyielding. "Unless she explicitly tells me to leave, no one is firing me."

"How much does she pay you a month? I'll write you a check for fifty thousand right now if you walk out the door," Dante offered, his chin raised in arrogant disdain.

Raymond let out a cold, derisive scoff. He turned around, threw himself onto the sofa, and kicked his long legs up onto the ottoman, crossing them casually.

He looked so completely at home, he might as well have been the master of the house.

"I'm well aware you're loaded, Mr. Hayes. But Ms. Yates and I have a contract, and I don't breach contracts."

With that, he pulled out his phone and started scrolling through videos.

Dante watched him, fresh waves of furious resentment stacking in his chest.

This bastard got to stand by Quinn and Leo day in and day out, sharing their peaceful, domestic life.

Dante was practically chased off the property every time he stepped foot near Lunas Crest, yet this guy had made himself right at home.

That was what made Dante want to rip his head off.

"Name your price. Tell me what it takes."
