Midway through her sentence, Mrs. Carlisle noticed Raymond standing next to Quinn, clearly registering the intimacy between them.

"And who might this be?"

Quinn looped her arm through Raymond's, introducing him proudly. "This is my husband. He's managing the security here tonight."

She then turned to Raymond. "This is Mrs. Carlisle. She's introduced me to so many incredible clients. She's been a true lifesaver for my business."

Even though Raymond was wearing sunglasses, Mrs. Carlisle had an eye for people and instantly recognized that he carried himself with an aura far above that of an ordinary man.

"Pleasure to meet you. Thank you for taking such good care of my wife," he said smoothly.

"Oh, it's nothing! Quinn is incredibly talented. Everyone adores her work!"

"Quinn, this is the perfect opportunity. Let me introduce you to those two ladies. Especially Mrs. Jensen. Her entertainment company manages so many actresses. If she recommends you, all those celebrities could start ordering their custom gowns and dresses from you!"

Seeing Mrs. Carlisle's enthusiasm, Quinn smiled at Raymond. "I'll go with Mrs. Carlisle for a bit. I don't want to distract you from your work."

Raymond nodded. "Go ahead. Call me if you need anything."

Shortly after Quinn walked away, Caleb's voice crackled through Raymond's earpiece.

"Boss, everything is proceeding perfectly according to plan."

"Dante Hayes has seen the decoy. The mission is a success. Should we pull the decoy from the floor now?"

Raymond let out a low hum of agreement. "Make sure he's sent back to my place at Emerald Cove. We can't give anyone a reason to be suspicious."

"Understood."

As the brief communication ended, Raymond looked up to find Dante still glaring at him with venomous eyes.

His gaze was entirely clouded with doubt and bitter reluctance.
