“Darling!” Grace suddenly turned toward Isaac, her voice trembling as she spoke. “You saw her just now too, didn’t you? My daughter, Charlotte… she was right here. This wasn’t my imagination, was it?”

Isaac stood frozen, his mind blank. Of course he had seen her. The little princess dress with the bear hood was his daughter’s favorite. He had bought it himself during one of the rare times he had taken her shopping.

He gently lifted Charlotte’s hand and slipped the ring onto her little finger. Then he let out a soft sigh. “Take this chance to share a meal with your daughter.”

The girl’s reappearance made the couple tremble with excitement.

After she put on the ring, her body no longer faded, even after she stepped out of Dominic’s embrace.

Charlotte saw her parents staring at her in disbelief. Realizing they could see her now, she called out happily in her clear, childish voice, “Daddy! Mommy! It doesn’t hurt anymore. My sickness is gone!”

“Charlotte!” Grace finally understood that this was not a dream. She pulled her daughter into a tight embrace and cried out in

joy.

She believed her daughter had truly come back.

But Isaac remembered Dominic’s earlier words. His gaze locked onto him. “What did you mean by that sentence?”

Dominic replied, “I can only allow her one meal with you. Think of it as leaving fewer regrets.”

Grace froze. The joy on her face vanished. She turned her head stiffly, as though her body had gone numb.

Dominic’s words shattered every last bit of hope in her heart.
