Chapter 183
Alexander weakly opened his eyes. When he saw that Dominic had arrived, he did not know where the strength came from, but a flash of venomous hatred crossed his gaze.
Isabella rushed forward and kicked him hard in the face.
“You dared to send that kind of message to my husband. Are you tired of dying too easily?” she snarled.
Dominic stared at Alexander, a thoughtful look settling on his face.
The two men present did not greet Dominic when they saw him arrive. They pretended not to notice him and continued with their tasks as if nothing had changed.
One of them even began administering a glucose drip to Alexander, ensuring that he would not die too quickly.
They were all killers raised by the Sinclairs. Their parents and children lived under the family’s protection. As long as they carried out the Sinclairs‘ dirty work and took responsibility when things went wrong, their families would receive the best care and rise directly into positions of status.
This arrangement had existed for decades. The Sinclairs‘ reputation had been built on it. Even during their hardest years, they had never abandoned the families of those who served them.
Isabella kicked Alexander several more times before stepping in front of Dominic.
“Honey! I really know I was wrong. I will avenge you today. You are the only one I love. Once Alex is dead, we can clear up this misunderstanding. Let’s… remarry!” Her voice carried eager hope.
However, Dominic remained expressionless. He calmly spat on the ground.
Isabella felt as if lightning had struck her. Her body swayed, and sorrow and grievance filled her face.
Dominic stared at Alexander for several seconds. Then he said, “Let him go.”
Isabella froze. “What?”
Alexander’s eyes widened in shock as well.
Dominic repeated, “I said let him go. Is that hard to understand?”
Isabella panicked. “Honey, he wanted to kill you. We can’t let him go. Alex must die.”
“Then do whatever you want.” Dominic shook his head and turned to leave.
“Honey!” Isabella rushed forward and grabbed his arm. She bit her lip and said, “Fine. I’ll listen to you. I’ll let him go.”
Dominic stopped. “Send him back to the hospital and get him out of Skyline City as fast as possible. I never want to see him or his mother again.”
“Okay!” Isabella nodded repeatedly and turned to the two men. “Didn’t you hear him? Go do it!”
The two men snapped out of their daze and hurriedly carried Alexander away.
Less than half an hour later, Alexander was dumped onto a hospital bed in front of Mary.
When she saw him in that state, Mary turned pale and wailed, “Alex, my son! What happened to you? Doctor! Doctor!”
When the doctor arrived, he panicked and prepared for surgery.
Alexander opened his eyes and said weakly, “Just… bandage me.”

Despite the doctor’s concern, Alexander insisted. The hospital ultimately performed only basic bandaging.

He felt much better afterward. When he noticed the two men standing in the hallway and watching closely, he lowered his voice. “Mom, quickly find two caregivers to carry me out. W–We have to leave now.”
Resentment burned in his eyes. ‘Dominic, do not think that letting me go earns you my gratitude. I am not that easy to kill Everything I suffered today, I will repay a thousandfold. And Isabella, I will chain you with a dog leash and torment you every day.‘
Alexander’s eyes turned bloodshot. When he saw Mary still standing there in a daze, he suddenly roared, “Go now! What are you standing around for? If we don’t leave, we’re both going to die!”
Mary snapped out of it and rushed off to find caregivers. They soon carried Alexander out of the hospital.
By the time they left, night had fallen completely.
