Isabella leered at Jessica, fury blazing in her eyes. “Shut up!”

Jessica laughed with open disdain. “Who do you think you’re scaring? If you’ve got the guts, come bite me!”

Isabella clenched her fists. If she were not afraid of angering Dominic, she would have taught Jessica a lesson long ago.

She took a deep breath and forced herself to endure it. Then she turned to Dominic, her eyes brimming with expectation.

Dominic felt a splitting headache coming on.

Isabella had indeed been terribly mistaken. Even after learning the truth and taking decisive revenge on Alexander, Dominic still had no intention of remarrying her.

Isabella trembled with anger and grabbed her arm. “Explain it. What exactly happened?”

A flicker of smugness crossed Jessica’s eyes. “I already said it was nothing. Why are you being so rude?”

Isabella completely lost control and shouted, “Then I’ll show you what rude really looks like!”

“Enough!” Dominic finally snapped.

He stood up and said firmly, “Jessica, go back to your room and sleep. Isabella, you’ll stay in Lily’s room. That’s final.”

After speaking, he did not look back. He walked straight into his room and locked the door.

The third reason he allowed Isabella to stay was Jessica.

Jessica’s intentions were painfully obvious. She was impossible to guard against. Dominic was only human, and he did not dare

claim he could restrain himself forever.

Stunned, he blurted, “W–What is this?”

Isabella stood there in an apron, tilting the pan in a futile attempt to hide her embarrassment. Her cheeks flushed as she coughed lightly. “I was frying a few eggs. They should be… done, right?”

Dominic was speechless. “Did you fry eggs without oil?”

Isabella froze. She slowly turned her head, her red lips parting slightly. “Huh?”

The corner of Dominic’s mouth twitched. He walked over, took the pan from her hands, and said helplessly, “From now on, you’re banned from the kitchen.”

Isabella pouted and stormed out in dissatisfaction.

She caught sight of Jessica’s gloating expression and snapped, “What are you looking at?”

Jessica chuckled. “Ex–wife, you’re really useless!”

“Is your mouth dipped in poison?” Isabella shot her a fierce glare, then marched over and dropped onto the sofa.
