She Chose Him Now She Wants Me Back novel Chapter 188

Chapter 188

Isabella leered at Jessica, fury blazing in her eyes. Shut up!

Jessica laughed with open disdain. Who do you think you’re scaring? If you’ve got the guts, come bite me!

Isabella clenched her fists. If she were not afraid of angering Dominic, she would have taught Jessica a lesson long ago.

She took a deep breath and forced herself to endure it. Then she turned to Dominic, her eyes brimming with expectation.

Dominic felt a splitting headache coming on.

Isabella had indeed been terribly mistaken. Even after learning the truth and taking decisive revenge on Alexander, Dominic still had no intention of remarrying her.

Yet, viewed from another angle, her actions were not entirely wrong. Crippling Alexander, even castrating him, was something Dominic felt glad about.

And she had also mentioned Lilith.

The thought left Dominic deeply conflicted.

Jessica’s eyes flicked toward him, and she suddenly walked to his side.

Dominic, what happened last nightI’ll never forget it for the rest of my life, she said in a deliberately flirtatious tone.

Isabella’s attention snapped to her at once. Her eyes widened as she demanded, Last night? What happened? Explain yourself clearly!

Oh!Jessica pretended to notice Isabella for the first time.

She covered her mouth in mock surprise and rushed to explain. Oh, I misspoke, exwife! Nothing happened between us last night at all. Don’t misunderstand, okay!

Isabella trembled with anger and grabbed her arm. Explain it. What exactly happened?

A flicker of smugness crossed Jessica’s eyes. I already said it was nothing. Why are you being so rude?

Isabella completely lost control and shouted, Then I’ll show you what rude really looks like!

Enough!Dominic finally snapped.

He stood up and said firmly, Jessica, go back to your room and sleep. Isabella, you’ll stay in Lily’s room. That’s final.

After speaking, he did not look back. He walked straight into his room and locked the door.

The third reason he allowed Isabella to stay was Jessica.

Jessica’s intentions were painfully obvious. She was impossible to guard against. Dominic was only human, and he did not dare

claim he could restrain himself forever.

At the same time, he was a mature and rational man.

Jessica’s background had already revealed part of the truth. Reason told him that the little maniac was absolutely untouchable.

If he crossed that line, there would be enormous trouble.

Perhaps letting Isabella live here, aside from helping care for Lilith, could also keep Jessica in check and rein in her reckless behavior.

In the end, Jessica was nothing more than a tenant.

Satisfied that he had thought everything through, Dominic lay down on the bed and quickly fell asleep.

The next morning, Dominic got dressed and stepped out of the bedroom.

Jessica ran toward him in a panic, crying out, Dominic, call the police, hurry!

Dominic’s expression changed. He immediately pulled her behind him and asked in a low voice, What happened?

Jessica pointed toward the kitchen, grinding her teeth as she spoke. Your exwife! She’s trying to poison us!

Dominic froze for a second. Then the smell of burning hit him.

He rushed into the kitchen and saw a pitchblack mass in the pan.

Stunned, he blurted, WWhat is this?

Isabella stood there in an apron, tilting the pan in a futile attempt to hide her embarrassment. Her cheeks flushed as she coughed lightly. I was frying a few eggs. They should bedone, right?

Dominic was speechless. Did you fry eggs without oil?

Isabella froze. She slowly turned her head, her red lips parting slightly. Huh?

The corner of Dominic’s mouth twitched. He walked over, took the pan from her hands, and said helplessly, From now on, you’re banned from the kitchen.

Isabella pouted and stormed out in dissatisfaction.

She caught sight of Jessica’s gloating expression and snapped, What are you looking at?

Jessica chuckled. Exwife, you’re really useless!

Is your mouth dipped in poison?Isabella shot her a fierce glare, then marched over and dropped onto the sofa.
