Chapter 192
Autumn’s face tightened as she said, “Aunt Jewel, I suggest you cut off all ties with Zachary.”
Jewel found it quietly amusing. “You were just saying he was a good match for me a moment ago.”
“That was then. This is now!” Autumn waved her hand, her voice tinged with resignation.
Jewel sighed softly. Something weighed on her mind, plain in her expression.

After a long pause, she finally spoke in a low voice, “Some things are not mine to decide, JewelMed is something I will not give up. If it comes down to it, and Zachary is the only option left, then it will be him.”
Autumn’s anxiety surfaced at once. “What about my parents-
“The Garcia Group is the Garcia Group, JewelMed is JewelMed.” Jewel lit a slim ladies‘ cigarette and spoke with calm resolve.” Who says JewelMed cannot become the next Garcia Group?”
If those words spread, people would likely laugh themselves senseless.
JewelMed was worth, at most, a few hundred million dollars. Its annual profit barely reached tens of millions. More
importantly, it lacked any core product of its own and functioned more like a sales driven company.
By contrast, the García Group stood as the leading enterprise in Skyline City. Its operations spanned clothing, food, housing, and transportation, and it owned several large factories outright.
Yet Jewel intended to raise JewelMed to the Garcia Group’s level. The ambition alone was staggering.
Dominic returned to his desk and realized he had little left to do.
A salary payment of 140,000 dollars was about to land in his account. For the remainder of the month, there seemed to be nothing worth pushing for. It was no wonder sales elites worked hard during the first half of the month and relaxed during the second.
It really was a matter of mindset.
Dominic helped himself to some of Daniel’s coffee beans, brewed a cup, and settled in to watch a movie at his desk.
No one dared comment. He had just closed a deal worth more than 7.5 million dollars. Even if Jewel appeared in person, she would have little to say, so long as she was not deliberately picking on him.
By noon, Dominic was fully absorbed, headphones on, eyes fixed on the screen.
Someone suddenly tapped his shoulder. He was startled and turned around to see Autumn’s bright, smiling face.
She pointed at the time on his computer. “Work’s over. Let’s go!”
Dominic glanced at the screen. It was already past 12:00 p.m. He stood up with a laugh. “I didn’t even notice the time. Let’s go.
Lunch is on me.”
“Okay!” Autumn replied as she walked out with him.
They headed downstairs to get the car. Once she was inside, Dominic said, “I’ll treat you to ethnic food.”
Autumnn had no objections.
They soon arrived at The Corner Restaurant.

Autumn looked around and said, “Hey, I’ve been here before. The food’s pretty good.”
Inside, Dominic chose a seat by the window and ordered several dishes to share.
He noticed Autumn watching him. Touching his cheek, he asked with curiosity, “Is there something on my face?”
“No.” Autumn’s cheeks warmed as she lowered her head.
Dominic smiled, his tone sincere. “Autumn, I really need to thank you for what happened this time.”
She looked puzzled. “This time? What do you mean?”
“The truth about the car accident.”
Autumn froze for a moment. “How did you know?”
At first, Dominic had only suspected. Her reaction confirmed it. She truly had handled everything quietly behind the scenes.
