Chapter 232
“Ah! Help!”
Inside the room, waves of agonized screams sent terror rippling through the entire motel.
For more than ten minutes, no one dared to push the door open and look inside.
Only when the police arrived, kicked the door open with a single strike, and shouted angrily, “Stop!” did the stalemate break.
Almost immediately, the officers‘ expressions shifted as shock flooded their faces.
It was too brutal. Blood covered the room.
Gary had been tortured until he was barely recognizable as human. He was not dead, but he was utterly ruined, with all four limbs crippled.
As the officers rushed in, the assailant shoved a dagger into Gary’s mouth and twisted it.
The indescribable pain locked Gary’s body stiff before violent convulsions tore through him.
“Stop! Don’t move!” the officers shouted again, their eyes wide.
The assailant spat a vicious curse at Gary. “Fuck you. That’s for ramming into me during the day!”
Then he turned to the officers, decisively tossed the knife aside, and said, “I’m turning myself in!”
The officers surged forward at once and slammed him hard to the ground.
When the police cars and ambulance arrived, the black SUV parked outside quietly pulled away.
Oliver watched the motel through the window, his gaze calm and cold. Killing a beast like that would have been merciful. Letting
him live on as a paralyzed wreck, worse than death, was the truest punishment.
Dominic set six dishes on the table, untied his apron, and said, “Alright. Come eat.”
Jessica and Lilith rushed over first, as always.
Katherine followed eagerly and said, “I’m starving. It’s been so long since I’ve eaten the food you cooked, Dominic.”
As she spoke, she sat down, picked up her cutlery, and dug in, praising him nonstop. “As expected of you, Dominic!”
Isabella grinned and suddenly said, “Sis, why don’t you find yourself a hotel chef and make him my brother–in–law instead?”
Katherine froze, then exploded in anger. “Isabella, are you looking for death?”
Jessica watched the exchange as the pressure in her chest eased somewhat. She thought that these two sisters were not as close as she had assumed. Even so, having the Sinclair sisters living here was still a threat. She needed to find a way to drive them out.
After dinner, Isabella and Katherine took charge of Lilith, which put Dominic at ease. He went straight to the bedroom, leaned
back on the bed, and chatted with Autumn.
She still had no idea Jewel had fired him and mentioned that she planned to go to the office to see him tomorrow at noon.
Dominic felt a headache coming on.
After some thought, he simply agreed to meet her tomorrow. He still needed to go to the office during the day to handle his termination paperwork and negotiate severance. He would explain everything to Autumn when they met.
While he was chatting happily with her, a sudden knock sounded at the door.

Dominic asked, “Who is it?”
“Honey, it’s me.” Isabella’s voice came from outside.
Dominic frowned and replied flatly, “What do you want?”
