Chapter 355
“You have a high–level way of thinking!” Dominic exclaimed and gave her a thumbs–up.
“Autumn has a crush on you,” Jewel said suddenly.
Dominic froze for a moment, then nodded. “I know.”
“Heh. I thought you’d pretend to be clueless,” Jewel sneered. “Your former sister–in–law also has a thing for you.”
This time, Dominic was truly shocked. “That… can’t be true, right?”
“There’s nothing impossible about it,” Jewel said. She waved a hand and sighed. “And your ex–wife. That girl from the Hale family practically has her feelings written all over her face.”
Dominic stared at her. “You’ve been paying close attention.”
“Does this even require observation?” Jewel snorted. “Don’t women have a sixth sense?”
“Alright. You’re right,” Dominic said.
“So here’s the real question.” Jewel leaned closer, her interest obvious. “Which one?”
“Which one what?”
“Don’t play dumb. Out of all those women, who are you planning to choose?”
Jewel looked so animated that Dominic decided to tease her. He reached out and grabbed at empty air, then laughed mockingly. “I’m an adult. Why would I need to choose? Can’t I just take them all?”
“What the hell? Seriously?” Jewel stared at him with wide eyes, as if she were seeing him for the first time. “Damn it. I thought you were an honest man. This completely destroys my image of you.”
She rattled off several curses in one breath. His answer had clearly left her reeling.
Dominic rolled his eyes. “You actually believe that?”
Jewel did not reply. She studied him for a long moment, then nodded with admiration. “With your looks, it’s not impossible.”
“What do my looks have to do with anything?” he asked.
“With your overall quality, you’d walk into a bar and become a top… Well, let’s call it the King of Players,” Jewel said, completely straight–faced.
Dominic nearly exploded. “The hell with King of Players! You’re the King of Players. Your whole family is the King of Players!”
Jewel giggled. “Hey, I’m complimenting you.”
“Fine, fine. I’m the King of Players,” Dominic shot back. “A million dollars a night. Are you in or not?”
Jewel’s heart skipped a beat. ‘A million dollars a night. If it were Dominic… Sigh. What am I thinking?”
She shook her head hard to clear the chaos in her mind, then snorted. “A million dollars? You’re robbing me. You should be the one paying me a million.”
Dominic laughed and patted the bed. “Deal. Come on up. Go to finance and collect your million tomorrow.”
Jewel flushed at once, certain images making her flustered. “Pfft. Don’t mess with me.”
At 35, Jewel did not dare keep bantering with him. She climbed into bed quickly and pulled the covers up.
Dominic smirked to himself. ‘This woman really wants to play games with me?‘

The ward fell silent.
Time passed without either of them noticing.
Dominic’s breathing grew steady, and he soon fell asleep.
