She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 1013

Preston Whitmore was her biological son.

However, because he had been switched at birth, they had missed out on the most intimate childhood bonding years.

Marjorie Kent actually wanted to interact with Preston more naturally and intimately.

But sometimes, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was an indescribable distance about him, a coldness that kept everyone at bay.

"I'm sorry, Mom."

Realizing his overly serious demeanor had startled Marjorie, Preston quickly apologized.

"It's alright, it's not your fault," Marjorie patted Preston's shoulder, offering a gentle, comforting smile.

"By the way, Preston, you suddenly brought up VitalBreath Fortis... Is there a problem with our company's product?"

Hearing Frederick Whitmore ask this, Preston shook his head.

"No issues. It just crossed my mind because I discussed a similar project with Mr. Clarke recently."

Preston gave a casual excuse.

Frederick didn't think much of it.

The family of four enjoyed a harmonious dinner. Mid-meal, Marjorie suddenly gasped.

"Oh, right! The trivia!"

Preston watched in confusion as Marjorie hurriedly grabbed her phone, her expression completely serious as she tapped away at the screen.

Noticing Preston's puzzlement, Frederick explained, "Your mother has been obsessed with an app lately. It seems to have been released by an overseas medical institution. You answer questions on it to earn points, and whoever gets the highest score wins a grand prize."

"I know about this one," Gabriel Whitmore chimed in, picking up where Frederick left off. "I think the app is called MedGenius Elite."

Hearing the name, Preston furrowed his brows.

What a generic name.

Reading Preston's expression, Gabriel let out a wry smile. "Simple, straightforward, and clearly aimed at the masses."

Receiving Preston's utterly bewildered stare, Gabriel pulled out his phone and searched for the promotional materials for MedGenius Elite.

"Yep, I remembered correctly. It's three hundred thousand."

Preston was speechless.

Since when was three hundred thousand dollars considered a "massive" sum to the Whitmore family?

Instantly understanding Preston's mindset, Gabriel pointed awkwardly at his phone screen and explained, "That's just how the app promotes it... a massive prize of three hundred thousand."

Frederick chuckled from the side. "Your mother obviously isn't doing it for the money."

To Marjorie, three hundred thousand dollars was about the same as thirty bucks.

"Your mother just wants to answer the medical questions. Taking first place is her way of proving that her medical expertise hasn't faded!"

Preston remembered that Marjorie had a background in pharmacology. Even though she was now the matriarch of a wealthy family, her passion for pharmacology had never waned.
