Leila Langley was in a fantastic mood today.
She had just received a stunning evening gown as a gift.
She had been stressing over what to wear for the red carpet tomorrow, and this dress arrived at the perfect moment.
"Well, of course she sent it. I still have to do her dirty work,"
Leila muttered, casually picking up a tiny, inconspicuous glass vial.
Inside was a fine white powder that looked like flour.
The vial had been delivered alongside the gown.
Leila glanced at the bottle and shrugged dismissively.
Then, she held the dress up against herself, admiring her reflection.
It was a striking crimson gown crafted from delicate water-soluble lace, embellished with a dense scattering of sequins. It was utterly glamorous and designed to steal the spotlight.
Leila was just about to try it on when Dominic called, telling her he was on his way over.
She quickly hid the gown and the vial.
About fifteen minutes later.
Dominic arrived.
As soon as she opened the door, he held up a sleek gift bag.
"For you."
Leila gasped, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
Was today her lucky day?
She was getting showered with gifts from every direction.
She ushered Dominic inside.
"Open it. You're going to love it."
Hearing that, Leila didn't hesitate to pull the boxes from the bag.
There were two boxes.
