The historic restaurant was famous for its fiery, authentic Mexican cuisine.
Sebastian didn't hold back, ordering a massive feast of sizzling fajitas, spicy chorizo, jalapeño-loaded nachos, fiery chili con carne, and blazing hot habanero wings.
Melanie thought there was no way the three of them could finish so much food, but Sebastian insisted, so she didn't try to stop him.
As it turned out, the legendary establishment lived up to its reputation, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side.
Ever since Daphne started dating Everett, she had forced herself to eat bland, pretentious fine dining.
Finally reunited with her favorite spicy food, she dug in with absolute gusto.
Melanie also loved spicy dishes.
Neither of them held back with Sebastian, and they devoured every last bite.
It had been a long time since she had enjoyed a meal so much, and a blissful smile radiated on Daphne's face.
Seeing Daphne so happy, Melanie couldn't help but thank Sebastian.
"That meal was incredible. Thank you, Director York."
Sebastian, who was just about to walk out of the private booth, turned around and reached a hand toward Melanie.
"I think we're well-acquainted enough by now. You don't need to be so formal with me."
With that, Sebastian's fingertips brushed against the corner of Melanie's mouth.
Melanie froze.
Sebastian gently wiped her lip.
"You had some chili sauce on your face."
Sebastian showed her the fleck of red sauce on his fingertip.
Melanie offered an awkward smile and quickly grabbed a napkin from the table to wipe her mouth.
Sebastian noticed that as she wiped her mouth, she deliberately rubbed the exact spot his finger had touched a few extra times.
Raising an eyebrow, a flicker of complex emotion flashed through his eyes.
Once Melanie turned her back to him, he brought the chili-stained finger to his lips and licked it clean.
Outside the booth, Daphne sneakily poked her head around the corner before quickly pulling it back.
She had seen it all.
Sebastian had wiped the chili off Melanie's lip and then deliberately tasted the sauce from his own finger.
"See no evil, see no evil," Daphne muttered under her breath, covering her eyes with her hands.
