Seeing the change in Melanie’s expression, Nathaniel simply gave Edmund a look, signaling him to open the door and let the visitor in.
And just like that, Preston appeared in Nathaniel’s Crescent Ridge Estate.
He didn't come alone.
Following behind him were two impeccably dressed, refined-looking middle-aged men.
Melanie approached Preston first and asked in a low voice, “Why did you come looking for me here?”
Preston replied coolly, “Because I changed jobs.”
Changed jobs?
Melanie’s eyes widened, and she was even more baffled than before.
From the moment Preston entered, Nathaniel’s gaze never left him.
He had a feeling…
He had seen this man somewhere before.
Preston was wearing a crisp black suit.
Nathaniel couldn’t identify the brand, but the craftsmanship, cut, fabric, and fit were all exceptional. It was clearly the work of a master tailor.
His black shirt and black tie were worn with meticulous care.
Rather than being oppressive, the impeccably tailored dark suit gave him an incredibly commanding and intimidating presence.
In stark contrast, Preston wore a pair of snow-white silk gloves on his hands.
Their whiteness was almost startling.
While Nathaniel was sizing up Preston, Sabrina and Aria were also studying him.
Especially Aria.
Aria had never in her life seen a man so handsome.
She had gone to see celebrities in person before, and they were good-looking, but compared to the man standing before her right now, he was on a completely different level of handsome.
A flush crept up Aria's neck, her pulse quickening as she was instantly captivated.
“Excuse me, sir… who might you be?” Aria couldn't suppress a flutter of attraction and took the initiative to ask.
Preston merely glanced at Aria.
His icy stare was intimidating, but it only ignited a thrilling spark of desire within her.
Beside her, Aria was deeply disappointed.
Although she hadn't expected Preston to come from a powerful background, she hadn't imagined his origins would be so low.
She had heard her mother mention before that Melanie was keeping a boy toy.
In her imagination, that kind of man would be some slick and preened pretty boy.
She never thought he would be such a stunningly handsome man with such an extraordinary aura.
Aria felt conflicted.
Given her status, a mere boy toy was definitely not good enough for her.
But precisely because he was a boy toy, Melanie could pay to have fun with him.
And so could she.
“Mr. Whitmore, your uninvited visit actually saves me some trouble. I hope you will stop seeing Melanie from now on. Name your price, and I’ll pay you off in one lump sum.”
Nathaniel stared intently at Preston, forcefully asserting his authority as the head of the family.
Because if he didn't, he would be completely overwhelmed by Preston's powerful presence.
