Melanie was the first to run toward the deep water wave area, but Evelyn suddenly shoved her aside and rushed into the pool.

“You have the nerve to ask!”

Evelyn shot up and pointed a finger at Melanie’s face, shouting, “It’s all your fault! Lila already told me. She said you encouraged her! You told her there were fun waves in the deep end, and that’s why she came over here alone.”

“Melanie, I’ve always tried to respect you as my family, but I never thought you could be so vicious. Just because we don’t get along, you’d try to drown Lila!”

Cradling a pale-faced Lila, Evelyn screamed hysterically at Melanie.

Dominic glanced from Evelyn to Melanie.

Although he thought Evelyn was exaggerating, it was a fact that Lila was under Melanie’s care, and Melanie had failed in her duty.
